Ilo smiled to himself as Amber giggle-snorted.  She seemed embarrased by it, but he thought it was kinda cute. Amber just had a way of making everything adorable... At least in his opinion.   

Glancing up, he noticed Maxine Shifting her weight to stand. He was about to question her as to why, but she darted off.  Ilo frowned, upset that she had decided to leave. He wishes she had stayed. But after a moment, the frown Vanished. He knew Maxine wouldn't do anything she didn't want to. He watched her for a moment more and saw her scurry (contemptuously) up a tree. Trees were One of his personally favored sitting spots, it seemed Maxine liked them as well. He decided to leave her be.

Soon, Ilo returned his attentions to the group he was sharing tea with. Amber seemed to be recovering from her little giggle-snorts. 

Then Ilo looked up when he heard Jamie reply to his idea of Truth or Dare. He smiled when the Eros demigod approved of the idea. Ilo liked this game- it was always so fun. He especially loved dares- those were his favorite part. 

Jamie went right in with a grin and asked Ilo which he'd like. Truth or dare? Ilo knew he wanted a dare, but before he could say so, Amber butted in and tried to stop Jamie. Ilo looked over at her with a smile. [limegreen]"Aw! C'mon, Amber! It's just fun![/limegreen]

Then turning to Jamie, Ilo said [limegreen]"Dare, please!"[/limegreen]

"Aw! C'mon, Amber! It's just fun!" Ilo said. This made Amber half whimper, half laugh. The effect was pitiful, but it showed her feelings. Half excited and happy about what was coming, and half terrified about what was coming. If she was correct, the dare was going to make Amber's life a heck of a lot more confusing. Gods, Jamie was annoying. He may be hot, but that doesn't compensate for his ego and "match-making". Amber thought She honestly didn't know how Cinder Lynn - his current (emphasis on current) girlfriend - stood up with him.

"Right." Amber said, trying to smile at Ilo. She didn't really feel like explaining how Ilo and Amber kissing was bad. Then she would have to go into the whole Ilo/Jason debate going on in her mind every five seconds, ect., ect. It would end up in everyone thinking how much of a drama queen she was. True, she was one, but these crushes wheren't like that. They where... real.

"Dare, please!"

Amber tried not to facepalm and turned to Jamie. Her expression said I hate you but she was really hoping Ilo couldn't figure the look out. She was trying hard to brace herself for the next words, but she was also trying hard to keep her face calm. Couldn't have everyone thinking that she was dreading kissing Ilo, because then he could take offense. It wasn't him really, though. It was Amber's terrible decsision making skills, and the fact that she second guessed every good and bad thought in her mind.

Gods, her "skills" got annoying.

Amber knew what he was doing, and that only made Jamie happier. Ilo was too happy - duh, he was sitting next to his crush, eating cookies and drinking is fave tea - who wouldn't be happy?, to realize just how evil Jamie was. He winked obviously at Amber, ad watched as Ilo fell into the clutches and control of the diabolical James Robert Darkwood! Muhahaha!

Jamie finally managed to calm himself down, but mischief still flared in his eyes, "Ooooooooooookayyyy!" said Jamie, barely able to contain the happy "Ilo, I dare you to ..." he paused, grinning,

"kiss Amber!"

He finished grandly, then calmly pulled out his guitar and started playing, and humming nonesense. It fit the theme. He motioned for the others to stand back, and moved back a little himself. He happily swayed - or maybe diabolically swayed, with a goofy, stupid, silly grin on his shiny, tan face.

Ilo's eyes widened as Jamie stated his dare. He glanced over at Amber, who seemed to be staring daggers at Jamie. To be honest, it wasn't a dare he minded taking. There was just so many other people there. He looked at The son of Eros, who was currently playing a little tune on his guitar and grinning. 

Ilo knew he couldn't back down on the dare. He had NEVER backed down on a dare and really... He didn't want to back down from this one. 

He sat so he was kneeling in front of Amber. He looked down at her, ignoring all the nerves welling up inside him. The weird thing about this was going to be that everyone was watching. The company of guests had all stopped sipping their tea. They seemed far too interested in them. 

He returned his attention to Amber. Taking her hand he said quietly to her with a smirk [limegreen]"I hope you don't mind..."[/limegreen] then he leaned forward and whispered in her ear [limegreen]"I've wanted to do this for a while.."[/limegreen]

Then he leaned back and looked at her. She was staring down. He used two fingers and coaxed her chin up so he could look at her. He had never seen her act like this. To be fair, she had probably never seen him act like this either.
 
 Then, finally, with a deep breath, he set a hand on the back of her neck and dipped his head down, bringing his face to hers. And with a leap of faith, he pressed his lips gently against hers and lingered there for a few sweet moments, taking every second in more eagerly than the one before.

Amber didn't want to believe what she was hearing. He didn't want to kiss Ilo, because that would make her more confused. But, at the same time, she did want to kiss Ilo. Only because he was one of her most serious crushes. Ever. In history. And that said something, because Amber had a lot of crushes over the years, most being people way out of her league. But she wasn't thinking about Jason, or her past crushes. She wasn't thinking. All she did was stare at the teenage boy in front of her, all she was aware of was her heartbeat and the blood rushing in her ears.

Ilo leaned in and took her hand, making her jump slightly. Amber held his hand back, a bit tighter then she meant too, but her nerves where getting the best of her. She found herself somewhere between a dream and reality, like when you first wake up. She wasn't exactly sure what was what, but she was getting lightheaded, that was for sure. The daughter of Apollo couldn't really make out the words he said, but she got the drift. It filled her with hope, and somewhow, dread.

''Me too,'' was all she whispered before Ilo came in and pushed his lips against hers. She went from between reality and dreams, to a flat out dream world. She couldn't make sense of anything, and she didn't want too. She wanted to just stay in this place of... of... peace forever. She was perfect in the arms she was in. There was no Jason, no infirmary, no worries at all. All it was, was Ilo. His warm lips pressed against hers, and the soft smell of rosemary coming off of him.


Amber became aware of her hands crepping up Ilo's shoulders in a way that felt incredibly natural, so she gave in. But she didn't just put her hands on his neck, she pushed herself closer and put her arms on his shoulders. They where so close that 95% of Amber's arm was over his shoulder.

There was no people around them. No difficult Jamie, annoying Finn, or scary Seri. Just Ilo and Amber. And that made Amber kiss him with more excitement and eagerness with every waking second. There was literally no thought in her head. It was bliss. No anger, no pain. Not even happiness. There was no emotion but something she couldn't exactly describe. It was like a fire burning in her chest, that hurt but was pleasnt at the same time. It was almost.. addicting.

Jamie smiled.

You see, when you meet Jamie, some people find him rather annoying. But, honestly, he can help you. He just made Amber and Ilo's dreams come true! He helped them through the awkward first kiss. JAMIE MAKES MAGIC, BRO! If Jamie hadn't made that dare, Amber and Ilo would have had their kiss SO MUCH LATER. Jamie made it smooth, with no awkwardity.

Jamie can really annoy some people, but he isn't a bad guy if you give him a chance. As a matter of fact, he had a pretty good life. He was in more love than ever, he had some pretty good friends. He had only been at camp for a few months, but it had been some of the best months of his entire life. Camp had changed his way of seeing things, and it had enlightened his soul entirely. It was a new feeling for him, and it made him feel pretty warmed. The years that he would spend at camp would blend together, and then what? Would he just live at camp, become a counselor. Maybe even get married to Cinder, have kids, live a life? Would he ever leave camp?

He focused in on the kiss. Yes, Jamie's work here was done. Being a son of Eros, he had natural love and matchmaking skills. He was pretty smooth in the love-category, and had his way with things. This was good. Very good.
