Several months into the year, and there still hadn't been a single party. Nope, there hadn't even been some impromptu, incredibly lame party thrown yet. Something was seriously wrong. Well, Bailey had been determined to correct that. After all, he didn't think he could take another day of camp if there wasn't something to liven the place up. Of course, he could always pull a prank or something, but this drastic lull in activity called for something even more exciting... Something that would last for hours... Something like a party that only the The Amazingly Awesome Bailey Allison could plan.
And what better time than now? His favorite sister/cabin leader's birthday was coming up, and it was a special one-- her eighteenth. Yeah, okay, so maybe no one really wanted a party at a monster-filled camp for her eighteenth, but it would do. Besides, with help from several other Hermes campers, he was fairly certain he could plan one. It didn't matter that he had never actually organized one before since he had always been too lazy to. Bailey was still positive that he could at least throw together something. If he could plan and carry out extravagant, complex pranks, how hard could a party be?
Apparently, it was a lot harder than it looked. Since the whole thing was supposed to be a surprise party (or as close to a surprise party he could get), Bailey had left all the decorating and stuff for the day of Tal's (and Em's) birthday. This was further complicated when he found out that the twins didn't have any classes in the morning, thus shortening the time they had to set up all the damn stuff. It also meant making humongous sacrifices... like skipping lunch. Okay, so maybe it wasn't that bad since there was a mountain of candy and other snacks available for them to munch on while decorating. But it was still a sacrifice, and if Tal even thought about acting the least bit mopey today, she would be sorry.
"GUYS! SHE'S COMING!"
Bailey shot the lookout a panicked look and quickly shushed him before giving the other campers the signal to hide. Hermes campers suddenly disappeared behind bunks, and the lights were dimmed, concealing streamers and bowls of food, among other stuff. Bailey grinned as he crouched down behind a bunk. This would be so damn awesome...
Word Count: Enough
Muse: Dead
Notes: At the moment, only Hermes campers in the cabin. So the next post should be from either a Hermes camper, Tal, or Em. After that, this thread is open and all campers are free to join the party.
