There were quite a few things in Jamian McCovy's mind that day; the new girl that had arrived, Abigale, and the state of the camp. The most pressing one was probably his sister Tal. She had been a happy prankster seemingly yesterday, then her depression had set in and made her roll over to reveal a much darker person. She cried mostly about Bobbi and Luke, who had died only a few weeks ago, and left her curled in the corner with nowhere left to hide. she had been crying so much... it had him worried sick. He had tried to be there for her, he really had, but she just kept pushing him away with one excuse or another. He didn't want to distance himself from her, but he felt like he was going to have to sooner or later. It was like an ever expanding storm cloud that distanced them. He couldn't even think about what would happen if she... No. He wouldn't think about that. Not now, not ever. Because it would never happen. It couldn't.
His thoughts traced over the new girl in camp. They had spent almost two days touring camp; he was pretty sure her dad was Dionysus, but she hasn't been claimed. It's funny how you can spend so little time with someone yet develop feelings - even slight ones - toward them. That was what happened. She was a cute red-head, he was a spazzy idiot, so it sort of happened. He was almost positive that she didn't have feelings towards him, considering who he was, but still. He had to admit; the prospect of dating seemed a bit scary at the moment, considering that he felt like his siblings were counting on him to fix Tal, seeing as how Bailey and Tyler wouldn't do squat and Trina probably didnt know what to do. None of them would even admit it, but it was the truth; they all needed someone to fix it, and he just wasnt sure how. It wasn't exactly something they taught you in class, after all.
Jamian's ADHD overwhelmed him in a wave and he got out of bed, walking over to the bathrooms to get dressed. It was noon, he had missed most of his classes, but he didn't really care; with everyone who had the flu, they were probably canceled anyway. He pulled on a plaid button down over his muscle shirt. His hair looked fine to him, so he let it be. He pulled on simple, dark jeans and then Chucks. Thanking his lucky stars he wasn't a female and therefore did not have to put up with bras or makeup, he quietly got out of his cabin and sat down on the railing. Everyone else was up, so the footsteps swirling around him bared no surprise; there were so many that he didn't even notice the girl coming up behind him.
