Other Characters: Nada
Keyword in Rules: That's clever. You're making sure I read the rules...what was it again? Um...ah! Verified by Ana ...why does that sound familiar? Bet it's somewhere in the books.
RP Sample:Her chin hit the counter-top, her arms dangling on either side of her, fingers pointing to the ground. Her cheeks puffed out, then the air exploded out violently. She swung her arms up, crossing them, then laying her head on them, legs now swinging around the bar stool back and forth. She was sitting on the upper level of her grandmother's cafe, in the section reserved exclusively for the Clue part of Cafe Clue. All around her were bulletin boards and chalkboards and maps covering the walls. And she was the only one in the office, her father at home, and her grandfather helping her grandmother below in the Cafe part of Cafe Clue. Neither of them really needed to do anything, as they had excellent employees, but her Nan insisted on being behind the counter and in the kitchen everyday, and her Papa liked to shadow her, hoping to sneak snacks and steal kisses. Griffin didn't really mind being alone. She was simply bored, because there was no jobs for her to do. The only one they currently had was being covered exclusively by her father. Of course, that was because it involved part of the big drug cartel in town, but that didn't mean that Griffin wasn't irritated by this. Her Dad was so protective, and her Papa was the only one who thought that Griffin could handle the cartels. But Dad, Nan and even her Uncle Fred and Aunt Kim were against Griffin participating in any case that involved the cartels. This was probably due to the fact that she was a young girl, which just irritated her further. That was precisely why she should be in on the case. No one ever expected much from her, all the criminals underestimated her, and that was her key advantage.
But no. She had to stay in the cafe, and wait for a different job. Goody.
She stood, and walked over to the railing to observe the people going in and out of the cafe. Most were locals, older people who knew her family, and loved to chat with them. She already knew their faces well. Old Man Jenkins, for example, who sat in the same corner from eleven in the morning to about six in the evening. She liked to play chess with him, usually, and he had some pretty cool stories about when he and her Papa were boys. There were also a couple of tourists, two middle-aged women and a couple of preteens. Griffin watched them, and saw the similar features of the two women. They were sisters, obviously, and the preteens must be their kids. They were talking animatedly to each other, but their kids, a girl with brown pigtails and a boy with a seemingly permanent scowl ignored each other and their mothers. Griffin sighed, and cupped her chin in her hand.
Life was so boring with any jobs.

General Appearance:Slim, and trim, Ilu's not a looker, though maybe she could be in a few years if she actually dressed up a bit. But she's usually sporting a far-away look, and her hands almost always have something in them. She almost religiously keeps her hands clear, no gloves, no sleeves and it's hard to tell how big she is because of her over-sized shirts.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description: Ilu is a thinker, an innovator. She doesn't pay any mind to other people because she usually is focusing on whatever handicraft she has in her hands at the time. Plus, she can't draw what-so-ever so it'd take too much time and effort to even bother explaining her ideas to her camp fellows, when it's much easier to simply show them.
She has the other end of ADHD, the hyper-focus bit. She's the one who would be in the corner of the room, able to completely tune out everything that's going on around her, so she tends to miss out on a lot of important information. Because of this, she generally takes her time in a battle situation, watching and planning before jumping in and executing, since she knows she doesn't have the same awareness and reaction time as her fellow half-bloods.
When it comes to other people, Ilu isn't naive so much as oblivious. She has a good idea of how most people are, she just tends to ignore them or completely blank out on them being off in her own little world. Therefore, boys are a strange concept to her. She understands the whole crushing thing, and has experienced it before, it's the dating thing she does not understand, having never experienced it, only occasionally watched. She thinks herself to young too have a proper relationship anyway, and ignores boys like she ignores girls.
She isn't arrogant, simply preoccupied, she doesn't like wasting time and few people and their conversations are worth interrupting any creative process. If she were to find someone worth her time, they would be her friend for life. And any person suffering from unkindness earns her immediate support, if she notices.
Ilu also has one insecurity, and maybe this leads her to ignore people more than she normally would, but it's this: she feels that she is a huge disappointment to her grandmother, the daughter of Athena, Grace Flores Watson. She's never been properly acknowledged or praised by her grandmother, so, being an introverted person anyway, the girl takes it all in and holds herself accountable for her grandmother's indifference.

Family and History
Personal History: Ilu's great-grandfather was a man by the name of James Flores, a professor at Duke University teaching about the Far East, specifically China. James met Athena in the Botanical Gardens not too far from the university and they met there day after day and spent hours discussing many points of Ancient Chinese culture. After about seven months or so of this, James woke up in the night to the sound of a baby's cry. He walked down the stairs to find Athena sitting in his study, a baby in her arms. And she told him everything, about who she was, about the child, and what his responsibility was now. James never saw Athena again after that night, and he was a distant, but loving father to his demigod child Grace Flores.
It was when Grace was twelve, already taking classes at Duke that there was the massive attack. It was a hell-hound and though Grace and all the mortals escaped unharmed, this prompted James to remember the Camp Half-Blood Athena had told him about and to send Grace there, explaining to her what this place was, why she was going and that he would try and visit as often as he could. He never did though, he always had his excuses, though Grace forgave him for it. She was nineteen when she left Camp Half-Blood to go back to Durham. She married a man by the name of George Watson and never told him anything of her past. handling any incident that occurred with decorum and secrecy. He died early in a car accident, when their daughter and son, Jameson and Kayla were only three and four, far too early to notice their intelligence and skill in many fields. James Flores, Grace's father died in the very same car accident.
Grace sent her children to Camp Half-Blood at seven years old, moving nearby so that she could be close to them while they were trained and raised to be able to fight off any monsters. She got into politics, became a lobbyist for companies and organizations. She decided to train her children as well, visiting most weekends to teach them the martial arts her father had taught her.
Jameson Watson was a charming young man, but a bit of a flirt. When he was twenty, he dated one of the undeclareds, a Marietta Yelverton, who was from the same area of North Carolina. They eventually married, and from their union was birthed Ilu. She grew up in her grandmother's household expected to be as intelligent as her father and grandmother before her, an academic prodigy. But she wasn't. Sure, she was smart, top of her class in every grade. Sure, she was proficient at the skills she was trained in. But her dreamy demeanor and lack of motivation unimpressed her grandmother, who blamed it on Marietta, and Marietta's unknown heritage.
But Ilu was still loved. She grew up in the Watson household and her blood was strong enough to scent until she was thirteen. That was when she was sent away to Camp Half-Blood to live in the Athena Cabin.
