First things first, Sam is very cold at times, especially to males. That said, though, she is very warm, if a bit reserved, with her fellow Huntresses; being one of the eldest, she’s something of a mentor to the younger girls, and something of a sister to the more experienced ones. Since her own family 9aside from her Divine Parent) died well over a hundred years ago, she sees the other Huntresses as her family. As for Artemis… she would die for her Goddess at a moment’s notice without any thought to the contrary.

Friends – This is rather tricky category for Sam… She’s never really had friends, and the other Huntresses wne through this phase very quickly and fast because her sisters in all but blood, so she wouldn’t really know what to do with someone wanting to be her friend…

Enemies – Sam knows she has enemies, if simply for the fact that they are her beloved Goddess’ enemies as well; her personal ones would be those that hate/dislike her greatly for things about herself that she will never change, and at times is quite proud of (her orientation, for one, or her multi-racial background for another).

Lovers – Being a Huntress, Sam has no care for men or relationships of that sort. However… while she will never have any danger of falling for a man, she could easily find herself falling for a woman. (Of course, that is all hypothetical; her heart will always belong to Artemis – quite literally, she is coming to fear!)

Other – Her birth family has long been dead, and her parents never really cared for her status as a demigod, and so the Huntresses became her sisters, and she loves them dearly. Everyone else… toss ideas at me, and we’ll see where they go, yeah? XD

Max/Sam -- this could be interesting... if Sam wasn't a hunter, I would say that Sam could get a crush on her... then end up with a broken limb. But considering Sam's tough outward, Max might have sort of a.... tolerance? Although, Max prefers guys' to girls, because guys' are generally tougher. She has no problem with girls, it's just she doesn't like fashion... or crying... or magazines... or squealing... or anything non-functional. Ideas?

Hm... I think Sam might have a brief infatuated crush on Max anyways... Just add more angst to the fact that she's already terrified that she's fallen in love with Artemis... As to these two as friends, I think they would get along well; Sam hates girly things, too, and used to dress like a guy back before she became a Huntress... As you can imagine, in the Victorian era, especially in England and Europe 9where she spent the first fifteen years of her life before she ended up at Camp) she had to fight pretty hard to keep her own identity, so... yeah. She's a tough cookie, and doesn't take crap from anyone. So... maybe they could be friends, especially the kind that participate in fighting-related sports and such together? Tell me what you think.
