The thin blades of grass, dried out from the intense rays radiating off of Apollo's sun chariot, crunched under the sneakers of Camp Half Blood's new camp counselor. Justin T. Judge, he preferred to be called by his full formal name most of the time, almost strutted away from the Big House. where he had just be giving the posts of Climbing Wall Instructor and Lifeguard for both the beach and the lake. His short meeting Chiron and Mr. D had gone just the way he wanted it to, leaving a great smile on his face where a his mouth usually formed a thin horizontal line of indifference. Even Remus could feel the energy coming from his lifelong friend and pacing about the field while still performing his seeing-eye dog duties and leading the blind son of Themis to his new residence.
Justin could help being excited, he was finally back to the place that became a second home to him throughout his childhood. Since his first arrival when he was only ten to his departure at age 18, Camp Half Blood and helped him grow stronger, wiser, and more mature than he ever imagined. His three year break to test his mettle out in the real world and to attend a mortal college was invigorating, but he was glad to be back where he felt he belonged. He longed to teacher the younger demigods all he could, his way of giving back to the one place that gave him so much.
Three quick barks from Justin's canine companion informed him that they had arrived, "Kinda like a furry GPS," he thought to himself. Justin had never seen the counselor cabin before, technically he'd never seen anything before, but he assumed that it must be just like any of the others in the camp. Large enough to comfortably hold a handful of young adults, with plenty of bunks and a bathroom inside. Using his white cane to navigate the stairs, Justin stepped inside. While most cabins tended to almost give of a steady glow by themselves, this cabin seemed to have a collection of small, different colored auras. Probably due to counselors being children of multiple gods and not just having a single deity under one roof. Justin experienced a similar situation when he resided at the minor gods cabin as a camper.
Another loud bark drew his attention to a particular spot where the great German Shepherd seemed to be laying. After adjusting a leather blindfold he used to hide his blank eyes, Justin reached with his hand and found a solid wood frame and soft blankets. This must of be his bed, the cleaning harpies must be fast if they had already set it up for him during his walk from the big house, it lacked any kind of energy while the others contained small blotches of color from having their owns laying on them so many times. Whenever someones uses a certain item a lot, they tend to leave behind a sort of 'aura residue' that almost marked the item as theirs. At least is was better than how Remus marked his property, Justin had already given the god a swift snap of his cane as he tried lifting a leg on his dresser. Wasting no time, Justin plopped his two pieces of luggage, a medium sized suitcase and a laptop bag, on the bed and opened them up. He then began taking his clothes, mostly monotone white and black shirts (who needs color when your blind?), and neatly started to place them into the new dresser.
PS- I could never find out exactly where the counselors stayed, so sort of made up a counselor cabin for them. If they do have a place I can easily changed and move my post if necessary.
