Pandora opened her light brown eyes, and blinked the light out of her eyes. The world came into focus, and she sat up, but was immediately forced back down. There was a sudden pain in her neck. That's when she figured out where she was. The Infirmary. I must have been brought here in the night, she thought. Then she realized why: there was a huge bruise that plastered over half of her neck. No wonder it hurt so bad. Plus, she had heard of the Apollo Kids searching the other cabins in the night for any sign of illness, because a whole ton of campers had started getting this really weird disease with these blotches. I must have gotten the disease! thought Pandora. And she had. Feeling dizzy and infirm, she lost herself in thought.

If Amber found out that Pandora was sick, she would freak out and get super mad! Maybe Pandora could be cured before Amber found out? She doubted it. Amber was always up in the news, and the little daughter of Hecate falling ill would spread. Because whenever someone got the illness, the rumour spread like wildfire. The cabin leaders of Hermes and Athena had both gotten it, according to the latest gossip. Pandora knew that in a few hours, the news would spread. First, it would probably reach her only half-sibling, Uriel, then it would reach Amber. Pandora couldn't even imagine what Amber's reaction would be like when she found out about Pandora being sick. Shuttering at the thought, Pandora tried to focus on other things. Like Brandon.

Brandon Gale had been Pandora's crush for awhile. Amber constantly kept nagging Pandora about it, but, really, Amber was one to talk, because she had a crush on Jason Corcoran, the leader of the Dionysus Cabin. That was Amber. Always crushing on guys that were older than her and way out of her league. Oh, well. Pandora had other matters to attend to than Amber's love life. Now she was sick. And had a killer neck pain. Ugh. It really hurt. As long as Amber didn't come busting into that room, Pandora was fine. But this could possibly end really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really BAD! For Pandora, that is.

But it turns out that Pandora was right. Because Amber busted into the room at that second.

[Amber Craze James]

Pandora was in the hospital. Pandora. Was. In. The. Hospital. Amber was naturally furious. She had the flu, then didn't tell Amber! Why did the blonde Apollo care? because Amber might have been able to identify the sickness during the earliest ages of it coming. But Pandora didn't come to her. So Amber was mad. Why wouldn't she tell her BFF, though? NO. FREAKING. IDEA. The point was, Amber was mad at Pandora. Aries may or may not have already mentioned that several times.

Amber's sneaker-clad feet pounded on the ground as she came into the infirmary. She skimmed along the beds filled with people. She soon found a pale red-head with her bangs flared our revealing the horrible acne usually hidden beneath them. The teenage girl's eye where closed, so Amber put her hands on her hips. Soon enough, her shadow caused Pandora's eyes to flutter open, a cold glare waiting for her.

''Your in. The. Infirmary.'' She said, ''And you DIDN'T FREAKING TELL ME YOU WHERE SICK SO THAT I COULD JUST FREAKING IDENTIFY THE SICKNESS WHILE IT WAS STILL IN THE HIBERNATING STAGE AND FOUND A CURE FOR IT'' Amber shouted. A few sickies stirred but amber kept her eyes on Pandora. ''Do you even know how much crap that would have saved me? Tons. That's how much. I had to give up spending time with my friends for this. If you would have told me I could have hung out with you. And Skye. And Jason.'' She told her.

Her life was so absorbed in helping all the sickies that she didn't even know if half her friends where dating anyone. Do you know how sad that is? Amber was always, always, ALWAYS on the top of the latest news. And now she wasn't. And Pandora was going to pay for it.

Pandora was panting from the lack of air. Her neck was swelling up, and she could hardly breathe "Look, Amber," she croaked, her voice barely audible "I didn't realize how sick I really was until they brought me here last night, so don't blame me...and if I die from lack of air, it was because I'm talking to you, and that'll be your faul--" Pandora was cut off, as her air closed up. A small gurgling noise sounded in her throat as she swallowed some air down, her neck swelling horrifically. Black spots danced before her eyes, cutting off her vision. The agony was nothing like Pandora had ever felt before. It was far worse than anything you could imagine. Pretend that you got stabbed through your body, then multiply the pain by sixty-three million, and you've got a rough idea of what Pandora's feeling at the moment. Unable to withstand the pain any longer, she let herself float into dizzying blackness.

When Pandora's eyes fluttered open, the first thing she saw was Amber looming over her. "A-am I d-d-dead?" Pandora croaked, her voice completely lost and shaken. Suddenly realizing that she was alive, Pandora whispered, partially to herself "Oh, I am alive" and turned her attention back to Amber. Pandora ran her finger over the ever-growing blotch of death on her neck, curious as to if it were gone. If anything, it had gotten way worse than before. The world seemed fuzzy in front of her, and she felt caged. She fell into a hacking fit, that flared up her throat. Oh, just great, another lethal symptom. Her throat felt like she had swallowed a white hot blade, and her chest felt dysfunctional, twisted, almost.

[Amber Craze James]

As soon as Pandora's eyes went dark, Amber was thinking fast. She grabbed a syringe on Pandora's bedside and filled it with a light liquid in a bowl in the middle of the room, there for all who needed it. ''This might sting a bit...'' Amber said to no one in particular. She jabbed the big syringe into Pandora's heart, squeezing the Nectar out of the tube (yes, nectar is used for that). Pulling the syringe out and grabbing Pandora's wrist to check her pulse, Amber sat there as her heart slowly started back up. Her eyes fluttered open. ''Well, idiot, I wouldn't have had to save your life just now if you had told me.'' Amber said. She was still furious. It was not Amber's fault, it was Pandora's for not telling her.

Amber turned to another patient, ignoring Pandora to give a moment for herself to cool down. She spoke to the random NPC small girl in soothhing tones, telling her to go back to sleep, then singing her a luliby. The girl wimpered a few times then slipped into unconsiousness once more. But Amber stayed with her for a few moments longer, stroking her hair. Because A) she needed to cool down, and B) the girl might be dead, and Amber would have to repeat the process that she did with Pandora. After she was sure the girl was fine, she turned back to Panda, still mad.
