Here, we've only got one rule:
Never ever let it cool!
Keep it cookin in the pot,
Soon, ya got hot choc-o-late!

If David thought the Aphrodite cabin was a bumbling mess of activity, then he seriously didn't remember the Hermes cabin. There was almost no room to maneuver around the crowded cabin. Too many people, in too little of a space. It really did suck. He sat on his bed, pulling his feet out of the way as a boy ran by trying to chase after another boy who had stolen his shirt. Dylan's clothes were held tight in his hands as he stared at the door. The gifts for both Lucy and Darcy were under his bed in lock and key. No way could another Hermes kid steal it.[/size]
Finally the door opened. The bathroom door that is. Being older and much more mature, Dylan ran through the cabin quickly and yanked a boy about 17 back as the boy started to walk inside. "Not so fast there, Marcus." He said sweeping the boy aside and stepping in and locking the door. He leaned against it with a sigh. He had been waiting for two hours now. He hoped there was still warm water. Sure enough, as he turned it one there was. He smiled to himself and took his shower. A couple minutes later he stood in front of the mirror with a towel wrapped around his waist. He had to get everything done in here or else he would never get it back and never be able to make sure that he looked good enough for the party.
Darcy would no doubt throw a fit if he wasn't dressed right and such. He shook his head. He loved his sister to death. He pulled on the classic black pants for a suit. With that done, he slid on his button up and tie. The button up was quick to button and the tie just needed to be tightened. He nodded to himself as he ran a hand threw his wet hair. He looked to the hair dryer a girl had left in the bathroom and back to the mirror to look at his hair. It was thick and semi-long as it just covered the tips of his ears. He looked back to the dryer and picked it up. He blew the front part to the left and then just quickly dried the rest of it.
It looked good. With that done, he walked out of the bathroom and jumped to the side as Marcus bolted past him. He snickered to himself and walked to his bed. He picked up the suit jacket and quickly put it on. The black and white outfit, looking like the normal for a suit. He looked good, classy almost in it. His Hermes looks sure did well in a suit. Plus his height. He put on some Calvin Klein One cologne since he thought he smelt pretty bomb. He always chose that before other colognes. But this one was running a bit low. He frowned thinking he would either have to buy some or swipe another bottle.
He looked to a box on his bed. In it were the winged shoes the old Hermes counselor had left him. They still looked in pristine condition and would be perfect for the party. He opened up the box and slid them on. They wouldn't fly or flap unless he started running or jumping in them. He wasn't planning on doing either of those. With them on he bent down under his bed and grabbed the locked box. He unlocked it quickly and took out the two boxes. One was definitely bigger than the other. But then again, its contents were fairly large. The other one was smaller and looked to be carrying some jewelry.
The larger one was Darcy's present. It was wrapped in penguin paper. He of course knew how much Darcy loved penguins. Inside it contained three important things in his sister’s life. The first was a 2 pound bag of 49 different flavors of Jelly Beans. These he managed to slip out of camp for and buy. The second was the blond hair dye that he owed his sister. He may or may not have swiped it from a blond girl in the Demeter cabin. The third and last was silver eye shadow. This he had definitely swiped from the Aphrodite cabin. And boy had that been fun. He smiled and picked it up, putting it under his arm. He was going to hand deliver it to her.
The smaller jewelry looking box was Lucy's gift. He didn't even know the girl. All he knew was that she was 16, which was weird for him to be giving a gift to, and she was an Ares daughter. It was wrapped in green and red wrapping paper. Inside were two gifts which he had help in choosing. Then again, he hadn't known anything about her so he needed all the help he could get. The first was a ring of a snake in regular and black diamonds that would curl around her finger with red eyes. The next was a heart with dragons making the outline and what looked to be gears inside of it. It was black apart from the gears which were silver and gold. All-in-all he thought they looked pretty cool.
He stuck that one in his pocket. Hopefully they had a table or something for the gifts. He didn't even know what Lucy looked like. With that he was out. The walk to the Mess Hall was short and quick. Upon arriving, he stopped for a bit. Chase was spinning Olivia around. James and Cinder were talking, David was standing under the mistletoe looking for someone, Jenna was sitting over in a corner, and Jamian and Tal were walking. There were various other people dancing and conversing as well. He couldn't see Darcy yet though.
He walked over to the table with various gifts and stuck Lucy's on top to be seen. Her name was written in a very pretty font.Like at the top of this thread. Then he went over to the refreshments. He was glad to see the hot chocolate sitting there. A grin lit his features as he held Darcy's gift under his arm and picked up a cup. Automatically he was warmed by the fluid as he drank it. He gave a sigh and looked around as he stood to the side trying to find Darcy. He didn't realize it, but the whipped cream from the top of the hot chocolatesince Summer wants it to be all fancy schmansyhad given him a little mustache. Dylan smiled and continued looking around oblivious to this fact.
