Amber's feet trudged forward, pulling her blue jacket closer to her. She couldn't believe that it was Christmas already. She just didn't feel it. It felt too gloomy to be Christmas! Besides, why were they even celebrating Christmas if the Greek Gods were real? The blonde was confused, her thoughts gazing off as she walked towards the mess hall. She had previously arranged something with Cody so that she could sing. Her heart was beating oddly fast; it wasn't like she wasn't used to singing in crowds. Or dancing in crowds. Or doing... anything in front of crowds. She had done it her whole life. And as far as she knew, Ilo and Jason were both nor going. She was going with Skye (as friends of course), so it's not like if she screwed up then it would be in front of her crush. She sighed, thinking about it. It's not like she got embarrassed, anyway. Besides, why hadn't Ilo or Jason asked her? They must have been busy. Or they both went with someone else. Amber bit her lip, rolling her eyes. Or you could shut up. Que sera, Amber. Que sera.
When she got to the open doors, she took a moment to admire the beautiful decor before she looked around to find Skye. She wasn't there yet, so Amber rolled her shoulders and walked over to where some food was laid out, then poured herself some punch. She sniffed it a second to make sure no one had spiked it. That would not be good. Then she decided that she wouldn't exactly know even if she had sniffed it, so she drank some of it and popped a chip in her mouth before retreating to the back of the room. Justin Bieber came on, causing Amber to roll her eyes. Why did everyone love Justin Bieber? He was a horrible singer. Sure, he might not be a horrible guy, but he wasn't "cute" either. Amber would rather have someone from Supernatural. Even as a demigod, she never missed an episode. She even got strangely addicted too it, like she got all emotional over something that would happen in the show that was emotional. It was a bit strange, but that's who Amber was: The girl who crushed on guys that were way older then her, as opposed to people who were her age, then got addicted to shows.
Shaking the thought from her head, the sad blonde's eyes scanned the room. Chase and Olivia were talking, Mitch and Katrina were also talking, Cody and Arinne were talking by the stage, Summer was dancing by herself, and a few other people she didn't know where there. The party host and hostess were waltzing around, asking people about stuff and talking themselves. Amber seemed to be the only loner there. Where was Skye? Even Tal entered with Jamian at her side. Siblings going together? At least they liked each other enough too. She and Josh never would. Come to think of it, where was Josh? Not here. Oh well. Amber hadn't really expected him to come, anyway.
When it was finally Amber's turn to get up on the stage, she slowly walked up. Her flats clicked against the floor, and her necklace bounced against her chest as she walked, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. When she finally got up to the stage, she picked up her guitar that was already sitting on the stage, and her fingers found the cords as she did a test run before sitting on a stool, aiming a microphone at her guitar, and one at her mouth. She started playing the song that she knew so well on the guitar before she leaned forward a bit.
"I wrote this one myself. I call it Gone, by Amber James." She said; a few people cheered. It made her smile. She played her guitar for another moment before she started singing. She started off slowly. "There's a blonde girl, Blue eyes," She kept playing the guitar as she sang. It wasn't painfully slow, but it wasn't the fastest song. There was a guitar string to every beat as the blonde sung her heart out.
Broken heart, broken smile.
Ask her for her name
Tell her she's the one.
She'll turn away,
Broken heart, broken smile
And say:
"I am sealed like a scar,
Falling through heaven.
Left this world,
Found a home in the stars.
I've left my mark,
And I will bleed forever.
But I'm gone, I'm dead."
I am gone, I am dead.
There's a blonde girl
Blue eyes,
Broken heart, broken smile.
You smile at her,
Don't know a thing about her,
But you love her.
When she turns away,
Broken heart, broken smile
And says:
"I am sealed like a scar,
Falling through heaven.
Left this world,
Found a home in the stars.
I've left my mark,
And I will bleed forever.
But I'm gone, I'm dead."
I am gone, I am dead.
There's a blonde girl
Blue eyes,
Broken heart, broken smile.
Christmas is coming 'round
You want to love her
That will be your gift to her
But she will turn away,
Broken heart, broken smile
And say:
"I am sealed like a scar,
Falling through heaven.
Left this world,
Found a home in the stars.
I've left my mark,
And I will bleed forever.
But I'm gone, I'm dead."
She played her guitar a bit slower as she echoed herself. "There's a blonde girl. I am gone, I am dead." She sang softly. "There's a blonde girl. I am gone, I am dead." She played her guitar a bit longer. "There's a blonde girl. I am gone, I am dead." She kept playing her guitar for a moment before it faded out, and she then she leaned forward again, moving her microphone and smiling lightly. People started clapping. "That's the only song I prepared for, so I'm afraid you don't have an encore. Unless you want me to sing a cover? Haha, no. Thanks for being beautiful!" Amber walked off the stage, and she held two fingers out in a peace symbol as she walked, then retreated to the back once again. She was sure she had not been very good, but she was wrong. She was an Apollo, of course she had a beautiful voice. And her guitar skills were not bad, either. She was a natural musician, but she didn't recognize it as she leaned against the back wall, fingering her present for Skye.
