Chara looked out at the horizon. That thin line that seemed to separate the sea from the sky in such a beautiful manner. Chara didn't know what it was, but it was the same thing with the night sky, looking out at the sea was somewhat blissful. Sitting on the beach, alone, it was a good time to get lost into one's thoughts. Especially with Chara. There was a lot to think about. Whether it be any specific moment in her history, or anything in the present time. But just... watching the scenery around her, on such a time where the beach was quiet and almost empty, it was wonderful. It wasn't as wonderful as the scenery in Greece. She missed it. So much. But everything she once thought of as home... was now just ancient ruins. The people she had once considered to be family, even if she had no love for them, were bones... if not dust... forever lost. The people she once knew. The people she respected. She had no care for that, however. Although she couldn't return home and continue her old life, she could not have emotional attachment to anyone. They would always come to die as she continued to live. It was like that throughout her life. Even as she worked as a spy for Artemis, hidden among the people partaking in major historical events in various countries, she had to pretend befriending the servants. Of course, there were a few she cared for... just a little. But that didn't matter. They all died... eventually. Half the time, Chara even found herself killing them. If they knew too much about her, it wasn't an option. They just had to die. Blinking, Chara looked up at the sky and watched the birds fly across it. It really was easy to get lost in her thoughts here...
But it was weak. At the sudden thought of that, Chara stiffened up and placed her hand on her dagger. Ready. This was the perfect place for someone to attack her from behind. Whilst she wasn't looking. Whilst her gaze was fixed upon the beauty of the landscape. So she closed her eyes and just... listened. Like this, she could catch anyone out. It was surprising what you could hear when you were focused enough.
notes: uh, how's this? I'm not too good at starters... so, yeah. DD: I'm imagining that they've never met before. Sorry that it's quite short, too. It's short for my normal posts, honestly...
