It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and the number of clouds in the sky was limited. Practically the perfect summer day, and it was the perfect chance for Lucy to take advantage of such a day. Today was a day that Lucy had spent perhaps over thirty minutes in front of the mirror - perfecting herself to near satisfaction. Although, looking in the mirror, she still sees the fat girl she used to be... it didn't ever stop her abilities to put on make up. Scarlet colored lipstick and thin black eyeliner. It wasn't usually the best combination, but with Lucy's well kept blond hair and how her face was shaped... it was just about the perfect make up combination a girl like her could ever go for. With this and a flattering summer dress, Lucy knew that today was one of the days that she could be moderately happy with herself on. Lucy soon left the Demeter cabin for somewhere nice to just relax and spend the day. Even if it was on her own, it was nice just to get out once in a while.
It didn't take long for Lucy to get to the strawberry fields. On such a beautiful day, it was nice to be here. People were more than likely to go to the beach, too. But as a daughter of Demeter, Lucy found an unusual peace in coming here. It was quiet and lovely. And as much as Lucy enjoyed the company of others, it was wonderful being here once in a while. In the blissful silence.
Lucy found a spot in the field and sat herself down, eventually leaning back so that she was lying on it. Her arms were slightly spread out and her gaze was fixed upon the sky. The few clouds that were in the sky were in the oddest shapes. But it was amusing trying to think of of objects or living things that the shape of these clouds seemed to match to. Occasionally, the girl would laugh as a few of the more ridiculous shapes moved along the sky. And yet, within all of this amusement there was still that admiration for the beauty of the sky. Perhaps it was slight jealousy that Lucy felt here. She'd wished herself to be as beautiful as the sky. But in her thoughts, fat girls weren't beautiful. Thus making her not beautiful too. Not that many people would ever see that she thought that way. It would make her frustrated when people would reply with "noo! you're beautiful! and you've got the perfect body!" Lies. All of it. She didn't feel attractive to anyone. And any moment when she would feel like that she knew wouldn't occur any time soon. That was just her luck.
