Romeo jolted out of his bed. His body was sweaty, and felt as if he had just ran a marathon. He rubbed his eyes as he looked as his clock. 8 o'clock. A.m. Mark had just left his body. No wonder he felt this way. Mark probably had been running. But he always returned here right before. Romeo wondered why. Why would he do that? The answer smacked him in the face. Because he wanted him to still be alive so one day he could take over.
Romeo shuddered at the thought. He turned on his laptop, curious to see what he said, if indeed he did say something. Of course, there was an entry. It had been recorded at 6 a.m. His eyes took in the black screen until he saw a light. It flashed on Mark's face. "God. Your life really sucks doesn't it? You don't have anyone to talk too. Or at least no one that comes up to you at night. It gets lonely you know. Maybe I should try harder for the takeover. That way I can take the friends you have. Convince them them that your the bad egg. Not me. That you're just playing them all. But who would I start with? How about Jenna? You two seem to talk a lot. Oh look, here's a note to her. It doesn't matter what it says. Not to you at least. But let me give you a hint."
His other self cleared his throat and smirked before reading. "'Jenna. I have something really important to tell you. Something that might change your view on me. But it's something I can't tell you. It's something that needs to be seen. Tonight at 10 p.m. meet me by the edge of the forest. If things go bad, well at least there no one will get hurt and nothing will get destroyed. See you then, Romeo. P.S. if I try to tell you to not come, come anyways. I will probably change my mind a lot before deciding you need to know. Especially as my sister.' That sounds enough like your sappy self right? I think so. It was hard writing that. Especially that p.s. part. I refuse to believe you two are related. She acts more like a daughter of Eris than you do of a son. Until next time."
His other self sneered as the video shut off. Romeo dropped his head onto his pillow. Shit. This was not good. He had to tell her. He hadn't told her yet. He didn't want her to be ashamed. It was something he tried to keep hidden as good as he possibly could. He had even considered locking himself to the bed one night. Just to make sure Mark couldn't get out. Pushing himself out of his bed, he pulled on some regular clothes before heading out the door in a brisk walk.
He heard her voice as he excited and it sounded as if she was reading the note. But he thought it to be his imagination. He walked camp until he finally found her outside the Big House and she was reading the note. He stood in front of her contemplating what he should say. But he just stayed silent and waited for her to acknowledge his presence.
