It certainly was an eventful day. For Chara Nicolaides, it was a big turning point from her life of monotony and loyalty that would have potentially lasted another few thousand years.
It all started with her first meeting with Babylon Delgado. Chara could remember more or less what happened, but only briefly. After the two were acquainted, the two started talking. Babylon soon remarked that Chara was a mystery girl, and that she liked a bit of mystique in her ladies. At this point, Chara didn't fully understand how she, herself, wasn't helping the situation at all. As she soon started with how she could imagine her perfect partner being, should she have one, which was strong and interesting. After all, she was Spartan? What sort of Spartan woman would turn down a partner like that? Nevertheless, the two continued conversingand flirting, although Chara didn't yet realize that she was doing this. And they were soon joined by another. This was Wolfgang Koenig. As she spoke with Babylon, Chara felt her gaze returning to him too often as her curiosity started to take over. Was this the boy she'd met once so many years ago? The boy she'd always thought... if she ever fell for a man, he would be the one?
After a few moments of conversation Chara didn't pay attention to, she caught on when Wolfgang asked the two "How old do I seem?" Babylon made a guess of fourteen or fifteen, and feeling a little smug... Chara quickly did her math and replied with, "One hundred and two. Or thereabouts." Which, if this was the Wolfgang she remembered from so long ago... was accurate. And judging from his response, it was accurate. Wolfgang appeared shocked, just staring at Chara afterwards. And perhaps that was the point that everything started to take effect for Chara.
Babylon didn't understand Chara's "guess", and asked if she was missing something. Chara replied with, "I'll enlighten you later." And from Babylon, Chara got a response she definitely wasn't expecting. It was an innuendo. Babylon remarked that she would love some 'enlightenment' from Chara, and immediately got a "Shut up." from Wolfgang after Babylon made a remark about the three of them having threeway together. The kind with nudity and sex. Then it wasn't long until Babylon left. Leaving Wolfgang and Chara alone together.
At first, Chara felt as though Wolfgang was annoyed with her. She was questioning him about his mood, and Wolfgang didn't answer sufficiently. Claiming that she wouldn't care, and that it didn't matter. Eventually, Wolfgang told her what was getting to him. By the looks of it, she'd been flirting with Chara. Although Chara had clearly said she felt nothing for anyone. Then after more questions he admitted that he loved her. And he always had. And he tried to leave at that point, he didn't want the rejection. Chara walked after him and stepped in his path, she told him to never try to predict her actions... and then, she kissed him.
For a while, the two kissed. When they pulled away, Chara felt as though she couldn't hide her being a huntress from him. She expressed her desire to love him, but Wolfgang didn't take it into account. He pulled away, telling her not to toy with his emotions. And the more he pushed her away, the more she wanted to love him. It started to upset her, being rejected, and eventually... after all that continued for a while, Chara started to fall.
Chara told him once she knew, firstly in the form of a kiss which he pulled away from. And he didn't believe her. Once again, she was insistent. He kept turning her away again, until he finally pressed his lips against hers for a passionate kiss as a test to see if her words were true. Chara kissed him back with the same passion. Gradually, the two came to break apart and Wolfgang now realized that Chara did in fact feel love for him. Wolfgang felt strangely happy about it all. And Chara knew for a fact that she liked this. Only problem now was that she'd broken her oath.
And that was where she was now. In the woods. Alone. Waiting for a meeting with a specific someone. Chara didn't know what to think right now. Of course, she didn't regret her falling in love, and she wasn't at all scared about her fate. She'd lived a long life and managed to get a taste of the wonderful elation that comes with love. What did it matter if Artemis decided to punish her?
Then the silence was broken. "How dare you?" More like a statement than a question, Chara thought. Turning to face the goddess whose current meeting was inevitable. She looked older than she normally did. Whilst on the hunt, Artemis would take the form of a twelve year old girl. Yet here she stood, appearing as though she was sixteen or seventeen. Around Chara's apparent age. Her hair was still auburn, and her eyes were the same silvery yellow as the moon. She was incredibly beautiful, almost breathtakingly, but Chara was used to that. This was how the goddess had appeared to her when she'd first met her, and gods did it bring back memories. Artemis moved closer to Chara. She wasn't at all impressed. "I thought you would be strong enough for this. That's why I took you on. You trusted no one. You felt nothing for anyone. You were perfect for the job." Artemis almost growled the last few words. But Chara just shrugged. "I lasted for 2373 years without falling for anyone. I have been loyal to you for so long. Love was inevitable, my lady." As a response, Artemis merely sneered. "Men are disgusting, Chara. Especially that one! The gods despise him!" The goddess started to shake her head sadly, "you are a disappointment, Chara," - Chara flinched - "You are no longer a huntress. You are no longer immortal. Leave now." Chara nodded hesitantly. "Just this once, I'm not going to punish you." Artemis sighed sadly and turned her head away. "You've been my most loyal, Chara, and you've lasted the longest. Just... go." Her tone was both harsh and depressed. So Artemis wasn't going to permanently transform Chara into some kind of animal. And Chara felt if she stayed any longer, this was likely to be the case. "Thank you, my lady." Chara nodded as she backed off and left Artemis alone. As she walked away, she could hear the last words she thought she'd ever hear from the goddess, "just don't come crawling back when he breaks your heart! You're a stupid and pathetic girl, Chara!"
Deciding not to argue with that, Chara made her way to another part of the woods. Here, she stood at the edge and looked out onto camp. So now Chara was a mortal. A 2389 year old Spartan girl whose heart was now belonging to someone else. It belonged to Wolfgang Koenig. And all she questioned herself now was, was this the right choice for her heart to make?

notes: Permission for playing Artemis given by Ana. I'm sorry, I didn't play her properly 'cause idek. D': But yeah, here's Chara's breaking of the oath and thus her expulsion from the hunters. Artemis was kind to her. .___.
