Iris Lilia Caverly
Out of Character
Alias: Bee.
Age: 16
Gender: Female
RP Experience: A few months on Hogwarts Magic (known as Morgana on there). I have done spontaneous roleplaying on random sites in the past few years as well, so the whole concept isn't new to me. C:
How Did You Find Us?: Maria's link on Hogwarts Magic... I guess.
Activity Level: Not as often as I'd like. But my intention is to make only one character on here so I can still stay as active on Hogwarts Magic and other sites I regularly visit. So probably fairly active. Definitely within the activity limit you have, by far.
Other Characters: None.
Keyword in Rules: Verified by Ana
RP Sample:OOC: If you mean with this character in the setting of this forum, then here. So, what? It had been five or so years since Iris had joined the camp. The beginning of which, she had been claimed by her godly parent - Poseidon, god of the seas and much more. Rissie could swear that about half of the friends she had made over these five years only stayed with her because of the status of her parent. The others were actually good friends and always tended to ignore Rissie's stubbornness with certain situations and she tended to want control over whatever they were doing. But Iris was a good friend to have, and she always felt a little protective over those people she could tell her true to her. Some people from the Athena cabin had a little hatred for her, naturally, but one or two of them actually liked her. Maybe it was because she often showed hatred towards her father or maybe not. Maybe there was something about her that they respected. But if Iris was up herself with the idea that her father was one of the big three, then maybe the entire cabin would lead to hating her due to the conflict between her father and their mother earlier in history.
Iris slipped out of her cabin and stood still as her eyes slowly scanned over what was visible of camp half-blood. People were doing their daily businesses like practising sword fighting and picking the ripe fruits for the members of the camp to eat sometime soon. One corner of her lips curled up. This is going to be a good day. I think. She nodded and started to walk.
Thud.
She coughed up the dirt she'd just landed on. Dammit, I swear I have two left feet. Rissie lifted her face from the ground and attempted to stand without tripping again. Especially tripping with the consequence being her face landing flat on the ground. I hope no one saw... Even though everybody knew about it all. How clumsy she was. Nevertheless, Iris was clever - just not as much as the Athena kids. But sometimes the clumsiness sort of dominated over her intelligence. Dammit. She grimaced and continued to walk. A few people eyed her as she made her way to the stables to give her favourite pegasus a little company. Their was a little envy in their eyes, either that or awe. Iris frowned a little. I wish they'd like me for who I am rather than gawp in awe or envy at who my father is... as much as I like him, I can't let anyone know... they'll have to fake their feelings towards me even more then...
Maybe I'll go to the beach... actually... Her sudden change of mind had been caused by a group of demigods making their way to the stables like she was. Iris could stand small crowds, but in addition to the horses within? Probably not. Maybe it was claustrophobia she had. She really didn't know. As greetings, she nodded at a few of the demigods she passed. It wasn't long until she was at the beach which, unlike usual, was empty. She made herself comfortable in the water, knowing her father had allowed it so she could go into water without getting the slightest bit wet. With a little gesture of her hand, a little water followed the course, lifting from the water and just moving in the direction her hand it. She could do it all mentally, but it was more fun with the little hand gestures alongside it.

Dressing Style: Iris never really likes to stick to one particular style. It really depends on her mood during that day. At times, she'll go for simple outfits - top, jeans and boots. For other times, she might change the jeans to a well-fitted skirt and add tights. There are even those rare moments, when she goes super-girly and tends to wear a dress with her hair styled a little. At first glance, she could be mistaken for an Aphrodite kid on one of those days. Which is exactly the reason why, the day after, she'd be caught wearing tomboyish clothing again. So it really changes.
General Appearance: Iris has the body to die for. She is annoyingly pretty and her hair is just vivid and so obviously well taken care of. Iris is skinny, but also rather curvy and therefore has that 'desirable' look. Not that she actually cares for it. Iris wears minimal make up and still manages to look good.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description: Iris is certainly one of a kind. She's the sort of person that likes to take things into her own account. Not only that, but she's clumsy and stubborn - although she likes doing things herself, it's quite often true that she's not doing it right. Iris is lively and sometimes cooperative, never letting her godly parent get to her head. There are times when she just likes to ignore the idea of her relative and just do things like any other demigod - sword-fighting is her favourite.
Iris likes to show herself as a happy person and certainly one that never backs down from a challenge. If given a quest, she will make sure it is completed well. Although she may mess up a few parts with her clumsy actions, which explains why she needs someone to join her on quests. Otherwise she'd completely mess them up and refuse all knowledge of it, blaming another for the troubles. Iris is adventurous and used to always be the troublemaking kind, before and after being claimed. Now she's older, she's starting to mature, but only just. She still has urges for adventure and the eagerness for quests. Iris is confident and would never discriminate against anyone for their choices (loyalties and/or sexualities included) and is always willing to give someone a second chance. Iris is a kind person and a lovely one to know. Iris is easily wooed, and although she may not actually fall in love with a guy after being wooed, she might develop a minor crush and a little soft spot.
Likes:
+friendly: Iris will befriend pretty much anyone. She likes to see the good side in people and therefore picks on that to attempt making friends.
+lively: Iris is easily amused. Very easily amused.
+adventurous: Iris adores adventure and challenges and will accept whatever is thrown her way.
+keen: once she has accepted a challenge, she will keep going until it's completed.
+not prejudiced: she won't judge anyone on looks or appearances. She won't discriminate against sexual or racial differences.
Dislikes:
-stubborn: she doesn't like to give up and prefers things to be done her way.
-clumsy: Iris will stumble into things unwillingly. This could stir up trouble for her. She is also a little accident prone and trips up a lot.
-easily wooed: if a guy tries to woo her, she might end up developing a minor crush. It doesn't matter who he is: satyr; demigod; villain; god. But this crush could eventually develop into something more, given time, and could also be a weakness if its the enemy trying to woo her.
-only seeing the good side in people: this can lead to being tricked into testing loyalties and get her thinking that what she is doing is right when it actually isn't - all for the sake of a friend.
-individual: well, she doesn't like seeing other people getting hurt and gets frustrated if she sees other people doing something even the slightest bit wrong. So things always have to be taken on by her and only her. This can often lead to trouble as she isn't as strong and capable as she might believe herself to be.
Fears:
>seeing someone die. It tends to replay in her mind - depending on how brutal the death was.
>death. So this would mean, initially, a Hades kid would freak her out just a bit. Although, she'll pretend to be lovely, she might even end up warming up to them. But the idea of dying (painfully) scares her. Yet she still acts recklessly without realising it.
>large crowds. She can't stand crowds that are too big. I mean, like, times square on new years eve big.
Secrets: Iris did actually admire her godly powers. She liked the idea of being able to talk to fish and she got on with the pegasi. But she had passed through life trying to ignore it, with only the occasional bit of her powers seeping through when it was needed. Iris didn't care that her father was one of the big three. Which was the message she told everyone, that she didn't care for it. When in actual fact, she did. She loved her father but like any other demigod, she disliked him for the reasons that they all did. Sometimes, she'd talk to herself as though she was talking to him. This would never pass on to anyone, however. Iris didn't like the idea of her whole life's work of showing her dislike for her father being ruined by a simple "oh, I really do like my father." So she still goes through life, pretending she hates him. Or so she says.
Ambitions:
<to get a hug from her father. A desperate thing any child could want. Iris wants to meet her father and just give him a big hug. A father to daughter kind of hug.
<use her powers a little more often. This is linked to her secret. Because she pretends she hates her father, she doesn't use her powers as often as she would like. Only when no one is looking or when they're really needed.
Powers: Aquatic survival; communications with linked creatures; hydrokenetics;
Family and History
Personal History: Iris' mother did the best she could to raise her daughter in the best way. Nicola had fallen for Poseidon, her father, and gave birth to Iris. Nicola had a love for greek history and favoured the name of one of the Goddess' most for her daughter- Iris. The name seemed so beautiful to her even though she understood that people may mistake her for a daughter of Iris rather than the daughter of her father. Throughout her life at school, Iris invented a father and told whoever asked of this father figure in her life and what a lovely father he was. Her mother had told her what he looked like and what he sounded like. Iris developed it all from that. Because of this, she rather enjoyed her childhood. It all seemed so fun and joyful. Just her and her mother enjoying life as it was. Iris was taken to mortal activities which she thoroughly enjoyed - these including workshops, restaurants and the mortal cinema. Although something really bad always happened, Iris just passed it off as a coincidence. Her mother had even told her stories of her father, but never the name, and eventually she had a vague idea of who it was. No one ever believed her if she pranced around saying exactly who. But it was nice knowing it, and that's when she started talking to him (just talking to herself, but she saw it differently).
When she was 11, her mother found a rich new man and remarried. He brought his children with him. Turns out, his children were very spoilt and therefore arrogant. Iris didn't care for them, still trying to enjoy life with her mother. Her mother had stopped the weekly activities they did and never spoke of Iris' father again. She always believed in looking to people's good sides and therefore couldn't see what was so wrong or what was happening with her sisters and the influence of her new father on her mother. Six months later, she was found by a satyr after something attacked her at school. This satyr took her to camp half-blood, after having told her mother of her future absence. It took another year or so before Iris was claimed. She camped out in the Hermes cabin before that and during the practice for sword-fighting, Iris was claimed. People around her were in awe and couldn't believe they'd found another child of the big three. Iris shrugged it off and spread the idea that she disliked her father like anyone else would. As years passed, she started to like her father. Liking the powers she inherited. But she was stubborn, and she couldn't back away from the idea she gave everyone about her dislike for her father. Unfortunately, Iris had never been on a quest. She had been aching for one and had been missing the idea of adventure. Just waiting for a little quest to come along. Knowing what earned glory will come to her upon completing this quest, still trying to show that the glory that came upon her on the day of being claimed didn't actually matter.

And Finally...
I, Bee, have made this entirely up. I did not rip somebody else’s application from any site, and have followed the rules accordingly.
