Isoba exhaled slowly, watching his slightly frozen breath rise into the air and slowly dissipate. So this was Camp Halfblood? If he just judged it by his view from this entrance he couldn't say that he was impressed. This was supposed to be where heroes were made, was it not? Heroes like Alexander the Great, son of Zeus, and yet looking down from where he was standing it looked like it truly was a summer camp. Perhaps the nymph had meant where heroes made macaroni art. Inwardly he chastised himself. Surely this place must be doing something right, or it would have changed its tactics. A sinking ship drowns quickly, and yet this one seemed to be more or less keeping afloat.
Perhaps he should have written to let the owners know that he was coming. But there had been no time for that, he didn't know when victory would be official, or if he'd survive until then, and he didn't want to give Amadi false hope. Besides, he had been told should he ever change his mind he would be welcomed. He grinned, time to find out if this was true.
He adjusted the backpack he was carrying, more equipped to camp out rather than attend a summer camp. But that was what he expected to do. These were children here, they didn't need a man in their cabin nor did he want to be in a cabin with children. He would either see if the owners would accomodate him elsewhere or he'd make a claim to a spot and camp in it. He had considered the possibility of renting an apartment outside of camp, but that idea had been quickly dismissed. If anything big happened at the camp he wanted to be able to be there for it, as opposed to hearing about the aftermath in the morning.
