Looks
Hair:
Elle's hair is most certainly one of her most noticeable features, though it's not particularly that unusual. She keeps her hair cut relatively short, and it always looks good because she's got friends in pink places. Despite her mother not being the most fashion-forward of people, Elle learned young that most of the Aphrodite girls would teach her a thing or two - hence her hair always being tamed at the very least. She occasionally goes for the 'wind-blown' look, which looks exceptional on her (she is like a fourth aurae, after all...), but is also a big fan of the beanie look. Her bangs are just long enough to be annoying, but not long enough to do anything about; she's pretty commonly seen blowing them out of her eyes..
Eyes:
Elle's eyes are singularly the most noticeable thing about her. They're an intense, bright blue, nearly white, because frankly, she has no pigment in her eyes. It's a condition called ocular albinism, and it's basically made her one interesting creature to have a staring contest with. Her eyes, due to the albinism, are particularly sensitive to light, which is why if it's daytime, she's pretty much constantly wearing sunglasses. Another side effect of the albinism is a condition called congenital nystagmus, in which the muscles of her eyes rapidly bounce back and forth. She doesn't feel the motions, and she had no clue it was happening until she started school. Due to her incredible sensitivity to light, she will never be able to get a legal drivers license.
Height: Five feet eleven inches.
Weight: 112 lbs.

Dressing Style:
In the first thing she grabs. Literally. She keeps piles of clean versus dirty clothes, and if she's in a rush (due to her love of sleep, she usually is) she just throws stuff on just as a cover. Thankfully, most of her clothing is shades of whites/grays/blacks, with a few blues thrown in, so she generally matches pretty well, despite her general lack of care for such matters. She's a fan of off-the-shoulder shirts, beanies, skinny jeans, sweat pants... And shoes, gods, she loves shoes. Hates getting her feet dirty, so she has plenty, and I mean PLENTY, of shoes.
General Appearance:
With an impressive aura, a slender form, and a very nice frame, Elle could easily be a model. While she often looks very 'thrown-together,' she pulls it off quite well. She exudes confidence, because frankly, she is quite confidant. Also, being the daughter of Zeus, she's kinda got some power behind her oomph.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description:
- confidant
Despite her more-than-human heritage on both sides, Elle went to public schools. Her eyes were a frequent topic of discussion for a great many of her peers, most of whom came to the conclusion that "Twitch" should be her nickname. It used to bother her, as did them calling her an albino for her hair, or "Zappy" because she puts off a ton of static electricity when she gets nervous. Needless to say, she finally just reached the point where she doesn't give a blow, and she's confident in herself and her heritage now. It took a while to get there, though. Honestly, the nicknames have kind of grown on her, "Twitch" in particular, though if you say it in malice, she will shock the sky right out of you.- social
While she's not exactly a social butterfly, Elle will talk to anyone at least once. She doesn't like to see people alone, and will generally pop around a corner to ask if you need to talk or want company. She's got a lot of friends, so you can usually meet at least one person you could get along with through her.- open minded
As she has had many a LGBT friend, and is the winner of all multi-breeds, you could easily say that Elle is one of the most accepting and openminded people you'll ever meet. She doesn't base her opinion on one single fact, she sees the whole person/situation and then makes her judgement. In that same sway, she hates not getting all the facts when someone is telling her something. She hates liars with a passion, so if you're telling her something and you don't know part of it, for the love of Hades, tell her you don't know.- thoughtful
She likes to give gifts. And likes to be told she did well. And often tells others that they did well. Her main goal, thusfar in her life, has been to get people to smile - she likes that. Might be the nymph in her.- slightly immature/excitable
Something else that also might be the nymph in her - she's about as mature as a thirteen year old boy sometimes. On that note, she loves Hermes kids, because they're always so much fun. Dionysus kids are also a blast... Tartarus, she just likes everyone. Even Ares kids. When she gets excited about something, she tends to start putting off static - it's worse when she's nervous, though. Zero control of it. She's also highly impatient, and when she gets irritated, she loses control of the static also - a mixture that leads to not good things.- tough
Hate on her all you want, ladies and gentlemen - she does not give a flying blow. Also, she likes to replace what would have been swear words with words like blow or wind or sky. It amuses her. She's got mental rhino skin - you can't hurt her feelings. Well, strangers or aquaintances can't. Friends - you can. But be wary - you will never be a friend again if it was on purpose.- defensive of others (particularly her family)
You can hate on her all you want, but she does not tolerate bullying. She knows what might have happened to her if she hadn't known how freaking awesome she was (this, my dears, is sarcasm) and fought through her troubled years. She catches you being mean, you're gonna hear about it. And one thing about this girl - she can bring the thunder. She's loud. Also, word to the wise, you do not mess with her siblings. She will rock you like a blowing hurricane.- loves to sleep
Dear sweet Zeus in the sky, she loves to sleep. Honestly, it's probably one of her favorite things ever. She's grumpy as all get-out when woken up, but toss her a pillow and make sure she's warm, she can quite literally sleep anywhere. Provided it's not exceptionally noisy.
Likes:
- windy days, techno music, talking to people
- long baths, winning fights, french fries
- night time, rain storms, SLEEPING
- being warm, pillows, sunglasses
- shoes, her mom, her dad
- kids, respectful people, the occasional prank
Dislikes:
- people that hate on nymphs, rude people, being stuck inside
- droughts, being woken up, having dirty feet
- bullying, loud noises, bright lights
- unexpected lights, light glares, waterfronts at daytime
- the sun, feeling exposed, lightning (lol)
- books, being sick, bare feet
Fears:
- disappointing her father, large monsters, being poisoned
- mother dying, going blind, creatures with tentacles
- foot fungus, accidentally electrocuting someone (again), drowning
Secrets:
- Has a crush...
*cough!*it's a secret!*cough!*But keeps that totally under wraps.- Avoids the forges because is totally clumsy.
- Accidentally messed up her second grade teacher's pacemaker with a static shock... it killed the poor woman, unfortunately.
Ambitions:
- Gain control of her static.
- Somehow, someway, find a cure for her eyes.
- Meet a boy, get married, kids, all the good stuff!
Powers:
- Command winds/fly
More just the winds than the flight, but it has happened before. Having a mother that's half Aurae and a father that's the god of the sky, she kinda wins when it comes to the wind. The flight has only happened once - freefall from a six story roof. Didn't die, saved self by flying. She's still trying to get that down, though.- Generate static electricity
She has very little control over this. Emotional stress can trigger her to start putting off static like woah, and when she gets really worked up, her hair will start standing on end. A number of things can trigger her to start being a shocker - nervousness, stress, excitement, etc.- Meteorological insight
Elle can generally tell what the weather is going to be like for the day. If it's clear skies and she says it's going to rain, you can probably put bets on the fact that a few hours later, it'll start to cloud up.- Twin-powers
When she's with Julian, the pair of them basically back each other up. What is a strong gust with her becomes a 'knock you on your rump' hurricane force wind. They also have a freakish 'finish each other's sentences' thing that they do, and can generally just seem to 'know' where the other is.
Family and History
Personal History:
The best of places to start in this rather... interesting story would be with Elle's maternal grandmother, so we'll start there. She, along with her sisters, were the Aurae, the daughters of the Northern Wind, Boreas. Her name, when she introduced herself to morals, was Pnoae (most easily pronounced as Noah). She was the eldest of the Breezes, one of the strongest. Many times in her life had Zeus, the king of the Gods, made advances on her, but being the breeze often let one know things, such as how Hera's wrath tended to outweigh the pleasures of a one night stand with the sky god. So every time, she avoided Zeus, turning to the wind between his fingers, and eventually, after centuries of chasing, he seemed to have given up on her. She knew that she was beautiful, she knew that she was mesmerising. The sight of her, along with her sisters, was supposed to be able to take the wind from a man's chest, if he was weak enough in will. So she never expected a man to smart off to her.
He was nothing exceptional, save the fact that he was blind. Shocked and rather interested, the next day, she hung around the dock where she's seen him. The man was homeless, with nothing save his clothing and a pocketwatch to his name. It was September 1972, just after the last American troops had come home from Vietnam, and the middle-aged man had just lost everything to pay off his dead son's gambling debts. She sat and talked to him for a while - he was barely forty years old, but he said that he felt much older. He had been blind since birth, and his family had set him up with a nice young lady who he'd gotten married to. She died of consumption of the spine (known otherwise as syphillis), and judging by the fact that he'd never gotten it, she hadn't been so nice a girl after all. Now his only son was dead and he'd been thrown out of his home for inability to pay his bills: he had nothing. Her heart broke for him, so kind and intellegent a man, reduced to a homeless beggar. They say that the city of Chicago had a burst of exceptionally violent winds that month... strong enough to rip paper bills right out of your hands.
She didn't realize it, but she'd fallen in love. In all her long life, she had never mothered a child, never loved a man of any sort - but she had finally fallen. Her sisters were content to allow her her lover's short mortal lifespan with him, as he was slated to die within another thirty years anyway. Pnoae and her beloved Thomas had a single child, a girl whom they named Wendy after Thomas's mother. When Zeus discovered that the beautiful nymph who had avoided him for centuries was in a relationship with a mere mortal, he was furious. His original intention had been to stike the man dead with a bolt of lightning, but when he saw their child, a new plan came into his mind. Thomas ended up dying when Wendy was seven, just an unfortunate accident on the same dock he and his nymph-lover had met on. Wendy had inherited his eye condition, though since she also carried the nymph qualities of her mother's eyes, she had great vision. She wore corrective lenses for most of her childhood and on, though her vision would eventually degrade as she aged and put extra stress on her ocular muscles, but as a child, she saw exceptionally well, for having come from a family in which blindness was more than common.
Knowing nothing else to do with a mortal child, Pnoae sent her daughter to school. Wendy started going to Camp Half Blood when she was seven, just for kicks and giggles, because really, what sort of monster would go after a meager deminymph when there were so many other fish to fry in Chicago? Wendy proved herself to be exceptionally smart, and had boys chasing after her nearly constantly. Just because she was smart, that didn't mean that she was a good girl. She met Dionysus when she was a freshman in high school, and that was the first time she ever got drunk. Thankfully for her future, there was no child out of that relationship - no, she'd get plenty of demigod children as time went on, but not until after she graduated college. She graduated high school at the top of her class when she was sixteen, and went to the University of Chicago with all tuition paid. She continued to live with her mother, as the nymph had a rather endless supply of... well, everything. By the time she was twenty one, she had five bachelor's degrees. (Anthropology, Classical Studies, Religious Studies, French Literature, and Enviornmental Studies.)
It was actually at her college graduation afterparty that she met Zeus. Needless to say, he was even more attracted to her than he had been her mother, and as she was more than a little drunk, she ended up pregnant with twins. Elle and Julian were born on December 11th, 1996, both with the same eye condition that their grandfather had had. However, due to the godly blood in them, they didn't go blind, as he had - their problems manifested into ocular albinism and nystagmus. (I'll rephrase the stuff here - I know this condition really well, as I have the albinism and my brother has both the albinism and the nystagmus. The albinism is basically a super-sensitivity to light, like if you flip on a light and they weren't expecting it, it'll cause a migrane. They generally always have to have glasses, as Elle does (Julian might not need them, that's up to if anyone wants him.). The nystagmus is basically where your eyes twitch side to side involuntarily. The vision does not twitch, and they do not feel the motion. It just looks weird. Before a series of corrective surgeries, their point of vision can also be off - like, if they were looking -at- you, they might seem to be looking to the side of you. Or in extreme cases, practically facing away from you.) Elle and Julian both had those surgeries before they were a year old - of course, as their mother was pregnant again, they were mostly cared for by their grandmother. The years rolled on, and eventually, Wendy had nine children. Elle and Julian by Zeus, Clayton by Ares, Daryl by Dionysus, James and Jenna by Apollo, and Dane and Kyle by Poseidon. Finally sick of nearly almost five years straight of being pregnant with god's children, she went and had a hysterectomy, which is the surgical removal of the uterus, so that she very simply couldn't be pregnant ever again, because she liked drinking a bit too much and the gods seemed to like her as well.
Life went on pretty well for a while. Elle and Julian started public school when they were five, under the guidance of their grandmother and mother. All of that was fine and well, and Daryl started the year after them, followed by James. That was the year, however, that the incident happened. Julian always had better control of his static than Elle did. When she was in second grade, her terror at a simple presentation generated enough static shock to upset her elderly teacher's pacemaker. Later in that day, the woman had a heart attack. While no one outside their family ever knew the truth of what had happened (everyone assumed she had been electrocuted at home or something), Wendy did, and thus, the kids started spending their summers at Camp Half Blood. All nine of them. Life continued, Elle all the while having the massive guilt of a dead woman on her mind. When Elle and Julia were ten, Jenna and Miles (who were seven at the time) attempted to run away from home so that they could meet their father. They were found dead nearly two weeks later, though it was unclear if it was a mortal or monster that killed them. It was decided then that all of the kids that were eight or older would go to Camp Half Blood for the whole year. Elle, Julian, Daryl, and James all went immediatley, followed two years later by Dane and Kyle.
(Also, if anyone wants to take any of the North boys, please feel free! I figure if no one wants them, they can be NPCs for people to powerplay. ^^ They're all fluent in French, btw, including Elle.)
