RP Sample:Daphne has never been a violent person. As the daughter of Aphrodite she has often relied on charming others opposed to fighting them. Of course that changed when she arrived at camp. They had training and therefore required Daphne to get better at fighting and not just normal mortal fighting, but hardcore demigod fighting. If it weren't for the fact that this was for her safety there was absolutely no doubt that Daphne would try to avoid it as much as possible. As such, fighting doesn't come naturally to her like some of the other demigods (especially the children of Athena and Ares). Instead, Daphne needs to practice a lot in order to get close to their level or even slightly comparable to them.
Sometimes Daphne wonders why on earth she has to fight if she's supposed to be the daughter of the goddess of love. War and Love seem to be the exact opposites and therefore making Daphne fight almost seemed like a joke. But here she was, 3 years later, still at camp, and still being taught how to fight. Naturally, seeing as she wasn't good at fighting, she hardly ever went up against the stronger fighters. Sure, it might help her to become better herself, but it would also mean risking her life. This meant that Daphne often had to sneak into the Arena while no one was there to practice on dummies. As much as she hated fighting, she wanted to be decent at it so that she wouldn't be mocked by anyone. Everyone seemed to look down on her when it came to fighting just because she was the daughter of Aphrodite. Even though it was true that she was no good at it, she would never admit that to anyone.
Walking towards the Arena, Daphne started hearing the sound of swords whipping through the air. It seemed as if someone was fighting in there, which was no odd thing seeing as the rest of the campers didn't share Daphne's particular dislike for fighting. Hiding away from the person in the arena, Daphne watched as limb by limb the dummies were destroyed before she finally showed herself. She could see a familiar mane of hair as she stepped into the arena.

Dressing Style: Darion likes to be extremely stylish, however Korean influences have played a major role in the way he dresses. He likes to wear tight pant and fashionable tops (no graphic tees). His favourite shoes to wear are converse. Now at camp, Darion will sport the orange t-shirt but continue to add his own style in it by wearing a blouse over it.
General Appearance: If Darion lived in Korea, the reaction to him would mostly be positive. Something along the lines of kyopta (cute) but seeing as he moved to New York, his appearance is taken as potentially too tight, even though that's simply the fashion in Korea. He is almost obsessive about his hair and always parts it the same way. He generally wears pastel colours, which contrast with the bright orange camp half-blood shirt he has to wear.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description: Optimistic is probably the perfect word to describe Darion. Throughout his life, he had always looked at the positive side of things. He had a happy childhood, loving parents and an adorable little sister, what more could he ask for? He is extremely grateful to his parents and is glad that he has such amazing parents. There are times when Darion is rather sulky, but he is not one to hold a grudge. He always manages to find a plausible explanation for everything and then simply pushes back his sadness. With his cheerfulness comes a social side of him. Darion is nice to almost everyone on their first encounter and it takes him a while to finally draw a conclusion on someone’s personality. He generally believes that if he wants respect, he needs to respect others. Because of this, Darion is not a fighter. With his family background and his powers, he is extremely opposed to any kind of fighting. He likes to heal people, not harm them.
Being an older brother, he is also extra protective of his loved ones. With his healing nature, he likes to protect people from harm and often punishes himself if he is unable to fully heal them. Darion takes his healing seriously and likes to believe that he can protect all his loved ones, but he knows that is not necessarily the truth. He often fears that someone will one day take away all the things he loves which is why he has chosen to stay at camp year-round to protect his family. But just because Darion seems like a nice guy, it doesn’t mean that people can bully him around. When he has to be, Darion can will himself to be defensive. He will never be on the offensive end, but when a situation arises where he has to protect himself, it will only take him seconds to take a defensive stance.
Likes: Books, fashion, music, sewing, taking pictures, Tiramisu, ramen and ddukbokki (Korean spicy rice cakes), healing people and smiling.
Dislikes: Judgemental people, racist people, people who discriminate against others, centipedes, the colour brown, and cologne / perfume (he has an allergy)
Fears: His loved ones dying at his hand, heights, falling into a coma and losing his memories
Secrets: Although he is the son of Apollo, he actually hates poetry. Most of the time, Darion isn't able to rhyme unless he really tries. He has healing magic but is unable to make a simple rhyme without putting effort into it.
Ambitions: With the demi-god business aside, Darion actually wants to be some sort of doctor, which makes sense considering his power. But on the other hand, he also wants to be some sort of pop star, even though he knows it is impossible. Not to mention how dangerous it would be to be in the spotlight, therefore vulnerable to monsters
Powers: Healing Magics and basic musical talents
Family and History
Personal History:When Emily Kim was young, her family moved to New York City after her father was promoted to a senior position at the law firm he worked at. In order to make a living, he moved his entire family from Korea to New York in hopes that they will be prosperous in their new country. But even though they were now in a completely different country, Emily’s parents continued to raise their daughter in a traditional Korean household, forcing her to be studious, obedient and respectful. When Emily moved on to college, she had changed her major from sociology to music without her parents’ knowledge. She had never been interested in anything form of social science as her heart was set on music. Although she had never had a music lesson in her life, she was talented in piano, guitar and even the drums. Knowing that her parents would disapprove of her lifestyle, Emily opted to keep her “second life” a secret from them. In order to pay for her tuition and extra lessons, she started performing at local coffee shops and even street performances in order to pay her way through college. That was when she met him.
Apollo had taken an interest in the young Emily Kim for her musical talent and her drive to follow her heart despite her parents. For months Apollo took on the appearance of a young man, pursuing her. With his own musical talents he managed to win the heart of Emily, who had no knowledge that she was in the presence of god of music himself. Together they spent a year together before Emily found out she was pregnant. At first she was horrified and even thought of aborting the baby as it was shameful for a woman to become pregnant before marriage in traditional Korean beliefs. But after more consideration she decided to keep the baby and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. For the first month of Darion’s life, he had both his parents with him. But shortly after he was a month old, Apollo disappeared leaving Emily a frantic single mother. Realizing that music was too unpredictable of a career, Emily decided to move to Korea and change her major to nursing in order to become a nurse while earning a respectable income to raise her son.
Whilst in Korea, Emily met a rich doctor at the hospital where she worked, who immediately took an interest in Emily. Despite the fact that she had a son, Kyun Joon Choi married Emily and took care of Darion as his own son. Soon after the couple gave birth to a baby girl, who they named Suzy YooNa. Darion was four years old when Suzy was born and he treated her as if she were an angel brought to him by the Gods. He was an overprotective brother and often helped his parents take care of his baby sister. When the time came for him to attend school, his parents decided to enroll him into an international school so that he would be able to learn English. The first years of his life had been filled with joyous laughter in the Choi household that Darion hardly even concerned himself with his real father. For all he knew, the man was simply a sperm donor and nothing more.
When Darion was 9 years old, his parents decided that it would be best if they moved back to New York. It was the first time he had met his grandparents, who thought that Darion was Kyun Joon’s son seeing as they never knew Emily had a child prior to marriage. Upon leaving Korea, Darion became sulky seeing as he loved Korea. He missed the food, his friends, the fashion and especially the music there. Although he wasn’t gifted in school he had always been blessed with a nice singing voice. He had hoped that he could one day audition for either JYP, SM or even YG Entertainment to one day become the next hallyu wave star. But of course, moving to New York completely destroyed all his plans for that. His mother always said that the music industry was too shaky to sustain a real career, but regardless it had been Darion’s dream and now that dream was squashed.
He wasn’t sulky for long though, seeing as he was fluent in English from international school, he adapted to the New York lifestyle in no time and found himself a new group of friends. But even though he was now back in America, his style remained Korean. Darion prided himself in knowing that at least he was keeping some aspect of Korea with him in his fashion. In the past he wasn’t all too crazy about fashion but after his move to New York, he had decided to take it more seriously. After just a few months, Darion was happy again with his life. He no longer blamed his parents for ruining his life and realized how silly he had been to believe that he could be a singer. He had managed to find a new best friend named Stefan who was his next door neighbour and also liked listening to k-pop. The two of them had instantly bonded to the point where people at school would wonder if they were a homosexual couple. Stefan had become a frequent guest at the Choi household to the point where even his family had thought there was something going on. Darion knew that they were mistaken but still, he couldn’t help but feel safe when he was around Stefan as well.
One day, Suzy had come home crying while holding her arm up. Upon seeing his sister in such a state, Darion rushed to call his parents only to get the receptionist at the hospital they worked at. His parents were working late and wouldn’t be home in the morning. Being the over protective brother that he was, Darion tried to use whatever medical knowledge he had from his parents to help his sister. He knew he wouldn’t be able to do much, but at least he would make her feel better. When Suzy continued to cry, Darion was left with no other option. As he started crying while holding his sister’s arm, something happened. It was almost like he had willed the arm to fix itself, and it did. Examining the arm, he realized that it had been completely healed and no longer bruised from the fracture. Looking at his sister, he made sure she promised not to tell their parents. He forced himself to believe that it was just his imagination playing with him, but he knew that wasn’t the case.
Ever since that day, Darion had developed a fascination with anything medical. He set his heart out to become a doctor like his step father and one day work at a hospital to save people. It seemed that he had some kind of healing touch, even if his parents told him he was crazy. Years passed with Darion sneaking into the family library to read medical books that his parents owned. By the time he was thirteen years old he had already accumulated the level of knowledge a nurse would know. Still there was more to learn, and he had his heart completely set on knowing everything there was to know about healing people. That was when he heard a crash downstairs in the living room. It was late at night and he was sure his parents and Suzy were resting in their room. At first he had thought that Suzy had sneaked downstairs to get a late night snack, but once he reached the stairs he could see his baby sister walking out of her room with a confused look on her face.
Racing downstairs, Darion saw a fury practically destroy his house. As soon as the fury spotted him, it flew straight towards him and attacked him. The fury had managed to scratch his arm before his parents came storming down the stairs. His step father was confused and asked why there was a giant eagle attacking Darion while his mother looked at the fury in horror. It was clear that his mother could see what he could while his step father saw it as some kind of eagle. Before Darion could move out of the way, his mother let out a shrilling scream which probably woke up the entire neighbourhood. Shortly after, Stefan started pounding on the door and was let in by Darion’s father. Upon entering the house he started to take off his pants. On any other day, Darion would probably had said he was crazy, but immediately after his pants were off, Darion could see that Stefan didn’t have human legs. He had some kind of furry goat legs instead. Stefan immediately threw him some kind of bronze ring before she went on to attack the fury. Darion caught the ring and noticed a greek symbol engraved on the side of the ring. When he twisted the ring on his finger, it immediately turned into a sword. He looked from the sword to Stefan then charged at the fury with all the strength he had. Upon grazing the fury with his sword, the fury simply exploded and disappeared.
What happened next was probably the most ridiculous thing Darion had ever heard in his life. Stefan grabbed him and his mom into the family car and immediately ordered Emily to start driving towards some camp thing. Stefan then explained that he was a satyr and happened to be his protector. Apparently Darion needed protecting because he was a demigod, which meant that he was half mortal half god. Stefan explained that demigods had a specific smell that seemed to attract monsters to attack them or eat them. Darion found it slightly hard to compose his thoughts. Before he could ask any more questions, his mom came to a stop while Stefan practically pushed him out of the car. They were in some kind of forest, with a gateway that read “Camp Half-Blood”. Stefan immediately pushed him through to the other side then ushered his mom away. Before he could even so much as wave to his mom, she was gone.
Darion was explained that he needed to stay at camp in order to be safe. He was given a tour of the camp and met some of the other campers. By the time dinner came around, Darion was exhausted and tried to absorb all the information he had been told today. While he was eating his dinner a sudden glow surrounded him as Apollo’s symbol appeared on his head. A voice in the back shouted through the crowd. “Darion Kim, Son of Apollo.”
