RP Sample:The little blond girl was alone on the playground again. She sat on the swing, her feet swinging underneith her. She didn't like being alone, but everyone in the class said she was weird. She didn't get cold like the others did. She loved the snow, and often went out in the snow in a light sundress or a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. The others found it strange that she was often in the snow early in the morning, not putting on a coat until her father came out a few hours later when he realized that she'd already been outside. She was used to it. She'd been called weird by kids on her street since they'd been old enough to understand that she was different.
Just then, a group of girls came over to her. It was early spring, and everyone was still wearing jackets and coats, but Rima had taken hers off when the teacher had stopped looking. She hated having to wear jackets, having to be normal. She felt a lot like Rudolph when he had to cover his nose to look normal. The little blond girl's skin was paler than normal, with a surprising lack of freckles or blemishes, but it burned incredibly easily.
"Hey, look. It's the snow-freak," laughed one of the girls. She was in third grade, and the oldest of the small group.
"Ooh! Watch out! Don't wanna catch her germs!" one of the second graders added.
The third grade girl got closer to the blond child, who hadn't said anything since recess was announced. The third grade girl pushed the little blond first-grader off the swing and into the mud below. Her favorite shirt was now covered in mud...

Dressing Style: Rima tends to prefer dresses of lighter, pale colors, or dresses of pure white. She will wear jeans and t-shirts when she needs to, but sticks to paler colors. Except jeans. Her jeans are always darker blue denim.
General Appearance: Rima is a rather different little girl. Her skin is abnormally pale, so much so that it appears to be sick most of the time. In fact, this little snow princess hasn't missed a single day of school because of illness. She is incredibly healthy, even if it doesn't show in her physical appearance. Much.
This girl has a bit of muscle, but not much. She's a martial artist, and has climbed the ranks pretty quickly. She's only a few belts below black in Taekwondo, but, due to recent circumstances, may never acchieve it.
Rima's hair isn't quite what one would call normal. In the winter, it turns a shiny gold-blond color. Starting in mid Spring, Rima's hair turns from blond to brown, and is usually nearly black by summer. In mid Autumn, Rima's hair begins to lighten as the sun moves farther away from the Northern Hemisphere. The locks curl down to just above her shoulders, and can be considered hard to tame. It takes a lot of detangling spray and a good hairbrush to keep her hair from tangling.
Rima's eyes are a dark, navy blue that appear rather emotionless at most times. She tries her best to not show her emotions, but a cold wind begins to blow around her when she gets irritated, snow falls when she's sad, and a mini-blizzard forms around her when she gets really angry.
Rima is often seen carrying a little stuffed polar bear. While not the animal of her mother Khione, the polar bear gives Rima just enough courage to talk to others. Sometimes she uses the stuffed animal as a medium, pretending that it is speaking when she is the one talking. It simply helps her get past the idea that everyone is out to get her.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description: Rima is very quiet and reserved, due to the way she was treated in the mortal school. She was always the quiet one, who never said much more than "Yes," "No," and whatever the answer to the problem was. She is more likely to have her polar bear talk to you than do it herself. The bear will tell you her thoughts, as she uses it more like a puppet. It doesn't actually talk, she just feels more comfortable making the bear talk than she does talking to someone on her own.
This child hasn't had much experiance in the world of the demigods. She knows almost nothing about her powers, and can be rather easily confused. She doesn't like change, even if it is for the better, and it takes her a while to get used to a new situation. She is even quieter than normal when the world she knows changes.
Rima is a hard child to get to know. She doesn't trust people very easily, and her trust is very easy to break once you've earned it. She isn't very trusting, but you can be her best friend if you take the time to let her adjust to you.
This snow princess has an energetic side, too. Once you've become her friend, she opens up and becomes very talkative and bouncy. She loves taekwondo, which is a good thing considering her basic submissive nature. If she doesn't like something, though, she'll let you know with either soft crying or a small snowstorm.
Rima is very caring, though she has different ways of showing it. If she offers you her Koyuki, then you know she really trusts you. She does small things to try to make people happy, like bringing flowers or fruit. She will even kiss a bandage if she sees one, which is what her father did for her whenever she hurt herself. She tends to stick to flowers though.
Likes: her polar bear Koyuki, snow, winter, flowers, friends
Dislikes: change, mean kids, arguing with other people, summer, hot weather
Fears: losing her father, fire, watching her best friend die
Secrets: She really wants someone to care for her the way an older sibling would.
Ambitions: to learn to play a musical instrument, and to become an expert on Greek Mythology
Powers: As a daughter of the Snow Goddess Khione, Rima's powers are entirely based on ice, snow, and cold. She is able to manipulate wind, but only when it comes to making snowstorms. She can also lower the temperature of an object, or the air around her, to such a degree that it feels like it's burning if one touches it. She has a decent immunity to cold, but her body temperature is also lower than normal. She can make snow fall, but that is currently restricted to the area around her. She can freeze anything she touches, but will restrict herself to only things that are not alive once she gets control. She also has the ability to sense when a demigod's powers revolve around fire.
Family and History
Personal History: Rima's father, Ichigo Nishizawa, was originally from Tokyo. He was in British Columbia on vacation about ten years ago, and loved the village he found, the village of Port Clements, so much, that he decided to stay. He liked the fact that he was able to get away from the big city scene, and decided that he wanted to live in Port Clements for the rest of his life. He found a job in the grocery store to keep him going, trying to use his current paycheck rather than his savings from when he was in Tokyo, but there were times when he had to dip into his savings.
Not long after he moved into Port Clements, Ichigo met a man named Francis who was enchanted in the ancient Greek Mythology. Francis introduced Ichigo to a colleague, a young woman named Yuki, who was at Port Clements on an exploratory trip so she could educate herself on the ways of various cultures. The woman's hair was black, and her eyes nearly so. Her skin, though, was nearly white, like the snow that was nearly constantly on the ground. She wore only one heavy coat each day, despite the constant cold. The pair got along surprisingly well.
Ichigo was especially interested in one of the obscure Greek Goddesses named Khione, who was the Snow Goddess. There was little mention of her in the books Francis let him use, so he asked Yuki if she knew anything about the Greek Snow Goddess. Through the lessons she gave him about the minor gods and goddesses, the two began to grow closer. Little did Ichigo know... The woman he began to love was not the person he believed her to be.
Ichigo eventually got around to proposing to Yuki, after about two years of being together. She declined, but finally told him who she really was. In the privacy of his home, she confessed that she was not in fact Japanese. She revealed herself as the Snow Goddess Khione, then admitted that she had never thought she would be able to fall for a mortal. She had always harbored a deep hatred for most mortals, but realized that Ichigo was different. Khione moved in with Ichigo, and a year later gave birth to a baby girl, who they named Rima Yuki Nishizawa.
It wasn't long after their daughter was born that Khione suggested that she leave. She admitted to having broken a lot of rules by falling for a mortal, let alone contacting one and having a child. For her sake, Ichigo agreed. She left late one night, so the villagers wouldn't see her. The villagers began to talk a few days after that. Where had the woman gone? She had a child, then disappeared. The only thing she left behind was a stuffed polar bear for her only daughter.
Ichigo put Rima in martial arts lessons when the girl was three years old. A new person moved in and decided to start a martial arts academy after school. He didn't have the money to build a new place, so the school let him use their gym in the evenings. Rima quickly became good at it, making her father wonder if that came with being the daughter of a goddess. It was a good way for the young girl to focus her energy.
She started at the grade school at five years old, and from that day, Rima realized that she wasn't the same. She was treated with disdain and scorn, the same way the children's parents had treated her. It wasn't a problem until the other children began to pick on her; pushing, shoving, poking, knocking her down, and kicking her. She was able to put up with this for a few years, not even telling her father about the bullies.
A few years after the bullying started, Rima had just had enough. She was knocked to the ground, into the mud under the swing she had been sitting on. Snow had fallen the night before, but had already begun to melt. The ground where Rima touched froze, as did the mud on her clothes. The wind picked up, swirling the fresh snow around. The wind was just around Rima and the bullies. Nothing major happened, but when Ichigo heard, he realized that her powers could be the very thing that put her at risk.
Francis, the man who had introduced Ichigo to the woman that would become the mother of his first, and so far only, child, found out. He was expecting it, and revealed himself as a Satyr. He hadn't expected the Snow Goddess to have a child with a mortal, but it was done. The girl's powers had shown, and now she had to be transported to a safer location. He contacted Chiron just before leaving the small village, and the Satyr and the demigoddess child left. They got on a plane and, eventually, ended up in New York. They're on their way to Camp Half Blood currently, and are due to arive any minute.
