Make sure YOU CLAIM YOUR PLAY-BYS!
Claiming your PB should be the very first thing you do after being accepted.
With over 80 active characters, I can't keep on going through accepted threads just to update the PB list. It takes up too much time. From now on, your claim will not be added to the list unless you post in the thread. If your claim isn't on the list, then that PB is free game for anyone who wants to take it. It doesn't matter if you've been using the same graphics for over a year. If your PB is not on the list, anyone can take it.
If you change your PB, make sure you say so in the thread! Or at the very least, notify an admin. You cannot just change your avatar and expect everyone else to realize that you changed your PB. Also, if you don't claim your PB, anyone can take it. It doesn't matter who had it first. The PB will go to whoever posts in the claims thread first.
I haven't noticed this as much, but please don't claim a PB if your character hasn't been accepted yet.
Finally, regarding characters you want AFKed... DO NOT JUST DELETE YOUR CHARACTER! Notify an admin and ask him/her to AFK your character. If you absolutely insist on us deleting your character, we will. Just don't do it yourself. It is much harder to archive threads if your posts are not linked together through your account. Deleting your account means breaking the link, which means that the admins then have to go through every single board, looking for threads to archive. And that means we won't have time to do more important admin-y duties like accepting your characters.
