Family and History
Personal History: It was a dark night when Samuel Edgecumbe encountered the goddess Nyx in a bar, specifically by accidentally slopping alcohol down the front of her shirt. Naturally, a conversation was spawned from an apology and by the end of the night the man was feeling very close to the goddess. He had pulled her into the bathroom and kissed her neck, and three hours later, Nyx stumbled outside holding herself nervously. There had been nothing between them except Samuel's intoxication and generally unstable state of mind, and nine months later the goddess gave birth to a healthy baby girl with golden hair and wide gray eyes. Samuel was long gone - they never encountered each other again. Therefore, Nyx decided to take this child and raise her as her own. It was just around this time that her plans were blooming in her head, those plans that involved the seizing of Olympus.
She and her child did not reside in the Underworld, but in a forest on the edge of a place as country as the state of New York got. Nyx and Amity almost only made their plans by nightfall, and they were very secretive about things. They were never found to be irregular by mortals, but were known only to show up at the local grocer and maybe the mall several times per month. They made do, and most of their lives were devoted to finding the chinks in the armor of the Olympians.
