It was a rather quiet day, largely due to the notable absence of the giggling Aphrodite campers. Since it was Black Friday, most the cabin had fled for the city and its dazzling array of Black Friday deals, dragging a very grumpy Argus along. The other campers were either sleeping in or taking advantage of the holiday season and visiting family. Devin would have gone back to the city, but it had been decided that it was much easier (and safer) to just keep him at Camp until the actual winter holidays came around.
Although Devin missed him dad and brother, there were certain perks to being at Camp Half-Blood during the holidays. Namely, it was quiet and provided him with ample time to do whatever he wished. And right now, Devin just wanted to be left alone with his music. Knowing that his cabin mates didn't exactly appreciate it when he played in the cabin at the crack of dawn, Devin had retreated to the lake. Aside from a few naiads and campers (presumably the Poseidon kids) off in the distance, he was completely alone.
The son of Demeter quickly found a spot next to a tree in the sun. Leaning against the tree, he spread the sheet music in front of him. While he studied the music, imagining himself playing it, he tuned the guitar. With every harsh note, he winced slightly, hoping no one was around to hear. He really didn't want to wake anyone up. Devin knew from experience what a pain it was to wake up to the sound of an untuned guitar, thanks to his little brother.
Devin grew so absorbed in his work-- as he often did when it came to music-- and soon forgot his surroundings. He was so absorbed that he never noticed the figure that approached him.

Notes: Quite possibly the worst post... I hope it's easy-ish to reply to. If not, I can edit it. ^^ Oh, and first Devin post! Woot!
