So here they were. In New York. It had taken Chase a little over an hour and a half to drive from Long Island to New York, but it was worth it. It was crowded and had many places for them to go eat. Plus movie theaters to go see movies, and although he was a sweet guy, he wasn't against movie hopping. He pulled over into a parking lot and turned off the car. "Is it okay if we walk? It will take less time to get places because of all the traffic."
He had liked the music that she had turned on. It wasn't what he always listened to but it was a nice change. It made him know a little bit more about her. Although it was raining, it wasn't super bad. There was a light drizzle to the air and he was glad she at least had a sweatshirt since he had forgotten to pick one up before they left.
He got out of the car and walked over to her side before she could open the door. "Allow me." He said with a smile, laugh, and the corny accent that doormen used to get expensive guests into their hotels and such. He waited until she was out before grabbing a hold of her hand and kissing her knuckles as he looked into her eyes.
He lifted his eyes from hers but continued to hold her hand by his side as he looked around the city. His eyes landed on many different restaurants and he wondered vaguely if his dad would mind the charge on his bill from the card Chase carried. He hadn't said anything to him yet about Olivia, but how could he? He really couldn't until he saw him this next winter. Unless he decided to stay here, which he would only do if Olivia was staying here and she wanted him to stay here with him.
But then a thought came to his mind. He wondered how she would feel about spending the Christmas with he and his father. A lot of kids either didn't go back home because they didn't want to or because they couldn't. He looked at her out of the corner of his eye but decided not to ask right at the moment. That was a conversation for another time. One that didn't need to ruin the moment if it was a bad/sad story.
He turned towards her with a smile. "So...where to first? Movies or dinner? And your choice of both. It's the least I could do." He said his grin becoming an easy lop-sided smile. As he waited for her to answer he took in what she was wearing again. Although she was wearing shorts, she was wearing a sweatshirt. Then he thought of himself. A purple shirt that probably stood out in the rain, and was getting slightly darker from the sprinkles of rain and shorts. But luckily he was wearing actual shoes. He didn't know what hers classified as.
He knew his hair was sort of messed up, but the way it was messed up was fine. He hadn't done it that way, but it had come out sort of styled in its own way. Though now the drops were starting to make it get plastered against his head. He looked to her hair. The usual bouncy hair was starting to look a bit flat and hanging by her face. But he didn't care; he thought it still made her look adorable.
