Nightmares, the void was filling his dreams. Darkness was at it again. He could feel it crawling up his skin, his body, the fright. He was suspended in darkness, while the demons laughed and hissed; away from him.And he waved his sword; foolishly dashing and slicing at the darkness that was laughing. But to no avail, soon, the shadows crept against his skin, and he dropped his sword; shaking as the shadows hissed onto his ears and consumed him..[/font]
He shot up, fright crossing his features. Truly, his dreams hated him. The nightmares plagued him for months; ever since that dark fulfilling quest was completed. Ever since that corrupted power was placed upon him, nightmares plagued him, and he knew it was a matter of times till it got worse. But he was also certain that such was the price of power. And he needed to pay it. Otherwise he was unworthy, so you could say he had a bit of honor on his part. While that honor shows itself at opportunity; he was glad he retained some of it still. Though what good would it do him..?
As he stepped off his bed, his slumbering shewolf grumbled, it was funny how his connection with the wolf tingled each time he was leaving. he cannot leave without his Fang-Sister. A grin spread across his face; as the wolf slowly ruffled it's fur and stood on it's hind legs; making it up his shoulder. Shaking his head in unbelief; Uriel pat the head of his wolf, looking down on it's level. However; the wolf grumbled, and let her tongue out, as if moaning about something. Something which Uriel clearly knew. You see; Uriel might not have been raised to care for animals, and he may not have a degree in Animal whatsitsname, but he did knew that if a wild animal grumbled, and complained, it's usually cause it's threatened, or it's hungry. And gods know who's moronic enough to threaten his pretty beast. So he was pretty sure that his beast was hungry. As it grumbled and curled at his feet; Uriel scratched his head, leaving his wolf with a hungry stomach is never a good idea. Especially after the time that it decided to jump around and rip his bunk to shreds because he forgot to feed it. Ah well; tantrums were to be expected.
Uriel scratches his stomach and pushed his door open; though the cold air bothered him not; he knew that it would his siblings; so he immediately shut it close before jogging with the wolf, right towards the dreaded woods. Where his wolf happily galloped in front of him. Now you might ask why Uriel needed to hunt with his wolf; and not keep some meat for it down the cabin. Well first of all: A wolf the size of a horse is bound to have to eat meat either half its size; or even it's own size. And he'd be damned if he stocks that much meat in his cabin, and second; when he did try to feed his wolf with meat; it growled and tried to attack him. Turns out; it only ate meat it hunted, meaning it only wanted hard-earned meat. It was hard to feed such a gigantic beast; but well worth it in his case. A good warrior; even if it wasn't sentient. It was a better hunter than most Demigods. As it grumbled and galloped gracefully along the tall trees; Uriel just followed; keeping his hand on the sword at his hip. He really did not need his weapon; but he felt that it kept him safe against monsters; so he kept it alongside. Though a new weapon wouldn't particularly hurt...
As his wolf hopped and snarled, sniffing for monsters; he just wandered alongside; he felt as if he was the companion, and not the other way around; though he never really tried to impose the "Alpha Rule" on his shewolf; for the fear of getting his neck bitten off overshadows his pride. so he'd rather keep it this way. As Blizzard walked, stalked and snarled; Uriel just whistled a small tune. Every once in a while; his wolf would howl; complimenting his tune; and with some few moments, Uriel could feel the merry night; and with them both surrounded by dangerous monsters; and nothing to protect them but swords and fangs. It gave him some thrill. However; that thrill was soon broken when he heard the distant crying.
Uriel already had heightened senses; he could hear someone from two houses away when they yelled. But when he took The Curse up, it made his senses near-superhuman. So he could hear even further. And judging by the way his wolf's ears perk up; he knew it heard him too. Without question; they both dashed towards the horrible sound, and his sword felt light at his hip. He had a feeling he'd be needing it sooner than later. With his running; he could distantly are the sound of hopping, jumping between trees. And he doubt that someone followed him there. Not by a long shot, and as Uriel slowly reached his destination; the reality slammed his fist on his face, and Uriel could not be more disappointed than he was at that very same moment.
it was Tal; the one he called "friend" And the one who faded away because of some stupid...rotting corpse that she can't let go. Or perhaps there was more. Uriel didn't know. Nor did he care; really His eyes were glaring at the grave of the boy. Perhaps an intervention was in order. He gripped his sword; and slowly unsheathed it; but the movement of something black caught his eye; and he saw it; a figure; working on pouncing her Gods damn. So that's what been stalking me. Uriel bit his lip and his wolf knew, it jumped over head and sank it's fangs on the hide of the monstrous cat; before they scrambled into a frenzy. Claws and bites. While Uriel; approached Tal and hissed" What the Hades are you doing here?!" You could practically hear the venom in his voice.
