[/url]Summer was amazing. Even though it was almost over, Anabelle didn't want it to end. The past winter had been sad and gray, depressing with all of the sick campers. Spring had brought new hope. All of the summer-only campers had come and all of the activities had more demigods. Summer was like the sun rising after a century of darkness. It brought new hope to the demigods. There was only one place to be on a early August day like this one, and it was the strawberry fields.
The fields were beautiful in the summer. The strawberries were big and red and juicy, and the satyrs and nymphs danced around playing music. A lot of the Dionysus and Demeter kids liked to hang around there, too. It was a sweet spot for all of the Earth-loving demigods to hang out and read, listen to music or just talk.
Today, Anabelle was sitting out in the fields eating a salad with fresh lettuce, some sort of cheese and fresh-picked strawberries, reading a Greek-translated version of Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and drinking an Arnold Palmer. Perfection.
Her siblings were around her, either tending to the berries or involving themselves in their own activities. They took shifts tending to the strawberries with the Dionysus kids, and soon it would be Anabelle's turn to use a bit of magic and real gardening to make sure that the berries were perfect. After all, these berries had to be sold to make money to support the camp. Supporting the camp was very important. Just imagine if those berries weren't around?
Even though she lived with her siblings, Anabelle realized that she never really caught up with them much. She would like to talk to some of them more. She put down her book, thinking for a moment. Some of the Huntresses were daughters of Demeter, and they had been nice to talk to while they were living at the camp. Anabelle looked around her. She knew her siblings by name, but never by personality. What were they even like?
