Ex quite enjoyed creating things as opposed to destroying them. Perhaps that made her odd, but to her it felt right. So she sat at a bench in the corner of the arts room, carefully sketching out a scene from The Lion King in as realistic of a style as she could manage. She took her time, slowly rounding out and tufting Mufasa’s big paw, draped over Simba’s back. The still look and crinkled whiskers. She drew every line that she would need and then she felt her back catch. Glancing up she realized she had been sitting and drawing, slowly but surely, for over an hour. She stood up and stretched slowly, reveling in the snaps and pops of her back aligning itself. Quiet and unobtrusive as she could be considering her outfit she gathered paints of the appropriate colors. She carefully took them back to her place and found a small detail brush and started to paint.
A gray-ish pink tinted the nose, lined with black, dark brown, nearly black, served for the paw pads (with slightly darker cracks running through them). Dusty gold that lightened to nearly white on the toes and muzzle was brushed on, slowly given a furry texture with careful layering of paint and strokes of the brush. A slight mix of red and brown into the dusty gold and she began to paint the mane of the fallen king, ignoring as darkness touched the sky outside and lanterns were lit for the few like her who stayed to work on their projects. Soon she had finished the larger of the two lions and glanced up. It was dark outside and a cricket had started to denounce to the world that he was horny and wanted to get laid.
Settling back to her task a creamy yellow that faded to white began to color the smaller of the two lions. The barest amount of gray-ish pink and black colored his nose. The fur texture was easier as his fur was shorter, only really getting her attention at the tuft on his tail and the small poof that would one day be his mane. Smiling happily at her work she blew gently on the painting to dry it. She placed a gold pin by it to indicate that it was still a work in progress and not to be touched by anyone else and stood up, stretching. It was late, she should go back before one of her siblings came hunting for her.
