The fifteenth of February seemed to be the first true day of the year that signified summer was hurriedly approaching. The sun shone through the leaves of trees and formed patterns of buttery light on the ground that the younger campers tried to jump onto; yet the older ones didn't so much as stop to smell the newly blooming flowers or appreciate the beauty of the day. Talysus Winchell was one of those people. She wasn't paying much attention at all to the rebirth of the warmth that usually held Camp Halfblood like a comforting blanket, though it wasn't the most subtle thing. She was more numb now. Right now she should have been walking under these springtime trees with the late son of Ares that had been her boyfriend or hanging in the Poseidon cabin with Bobbi. But now neither of them were animate - they were nothing but dust and dirt, disintegrating beneath the ground on which she walked by the second.
Consumed in these thoughts she walked, not paying attention to her current surroundings in the slightest until she found herself colliding with a son of Athena that Talysus knew only to avoid. "Oh," she breathed out as she looked upward and took in every angle of his face. His angry, ruthless face that could destroy her. "I'm so sorry." The words were hurried, exhaled in a rush, as she wanted nothing more to leave the place and never come out from a hiding spot. What more could she do? So many things had gone wrong, and something little like this was bound to push her over the edge. As it was, she was precariously balancing on the fringes of sanity.
ooc; sorry it's rushed, but here it is!
