RP Sample:"Of course this isn't my property. It's the forest. But those herbs you have there are from the plants on my plant-collecting route," the girl Luna replied to Rialle scathingly, giving her a glance that Rialle felt was something close to pure loathing. Rialle really did feel sorry she had gummed up this girl’s plant-collection route. As Luna whipped her hand near all the herbs, the golden bangle on her wrist glittered again. It was veeery distracting. Rialle couldn’t help but glance at it often.
”Sorry about intruding on your route. Did I mess anything up?” the small girl asked concernedly, her golden curly hair catching the wind and therefore flying back behind her. Add that she was on her tiptoes, trying to look older than she was, and she resembled a small bird about to take off. Then Luna’s eyes went toward Rialle again, answering her other question.
"It's just a root—It doesn't do anything except help the plant grow. I can't eat it or heal with it, so it's of no use to either of us, only to the plant, which you have now deprived as part of its life source; and that is why you don't run about gathering herbs without experience and purpose. Who are you and what are you doing?"
Rialle’s face turned red. She certainly hadn’t meant to make Luna mad. She was just doing what her mother wanted her to. She said, on the verge of tears, ”I didn’t take it from the plant. It was just on the ground. Sorry I made you mad…” She gulped, trying to rid her face of redness, before adding in answer to the remainder of Luna’s harsh question, ”And you know, I do have some experience. I’ve gathered herbs for five years. I’m Rialle.” She took a deep breath. ”Each Sunday our family all goes out to replenish things for the week...getting plants is my job...we use them for healing and cooking and things like that.” She decided to stop garbling on then. She locked eyes with the girl, wondering what her reaction would be.

If you stop to talk to her she might “survey” you—her eyes will constantly be darting around, and she will examine you, it seems. She may seem like a critical person, but she is very soft and loving.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description: Skye is totally loyal. She will stick up for anyone practically, and loves almost everyone, though not in an annoying way like hugging everyone she sees. She is a very good friend to have in many ways, since she is loyal and nearly always nice.
But. When she’s mean, which happens if someone gets under her skin, watch out. Just. Stay. Away. She may be a regular mortal, but, since she’s the Oracle, she’s not too regular…she may not be an Ares kids, who can slice you in half with their sword, but she can slice your soul in half...yes, make you feel that bad about yourself. She has a comeback on the tip of her tongue, all the time, if someone decides to make a negative comment about her.
She is very individual. Peer pressure has no effect on her. If you try to peer-pressure her, she’ll ignore you. She doesn’t let anyone tell her what to do, unless you’re an adult that everyone knows has rightful authority over her, like a teacher. Of course, this can lead people to think she’s a smart-mouth. She is somewhat outspoken, and this can get her in trouble.
But if you’re one of her good friends, she’s a teddy bear with a sympathetic ear. She’s a born advice-giver. She an think up a workable solution to any problem anyone might have.
Likes: Rain, most demigods, Asian food, plants, outside.
Dislikes: Some Ares kids, her voice when she gives prophecies, getting colds, getting up early, her hair.
Fears: Spiders, the dark, clowns.
Secrets: She is...crushing. Majorly.
Ambitions: To stay at Camp, help with the Tartarus issue.
Family and History
Personal History: Skye was born on a rainy December 28th, where the slush was beginning to melt. It did not look promising, but all that changed when the healthy baby girl was born at 5:43 PM. She was giggling instead of crying when she was born.
The doctors assured Reed and Fran, her parents, that the girl was very advanced. Ridiculously so. She crawled and talked and walked months before the average time. She never cried, and could hold conversations. Reed and Fran were sure they had an Einstein on their hands.
But.
There came that fateful day. She could see through the Mist, somehow. Her mother was taking her to the fair when she was two, to get her out of the house as her father took care of their new child, Emma Kate. The woman at the Cotton Candy stand was a Kindly One. Skye screamed and cried as soon as the Kindly One did her work. She didn’t stop crying, for days, quite literally.
Her parents had no idea what was wrong with her. They took her to a doctor, who determined that she had been scared half to death and asked if she had had "extremely traumatic experiences" in the last few months. The parents said no.
But she continued seeing through the Mist, and was labeled as extremely emotional. One moment she would happily be toddling along a nature trail and come near two demigods, using their powers. She would start crying as one cursed the other.
She got in trouble at school and at day care; she was never expelled, but was labeled as a "troublemaker trying to get attention." This was pinned on her when she pointed out a pegasus with a steed flying over the elementary school's playground.
Her parents, who had expected her to be The Number One Student, were not happy with her. They took away her activities, her privileges, and made her go to bed early until her grades improved. She couldn't take it and ran away from their NYC home. She was eleven at the time.
Relying on her instincts to guide her, she crossed to Long Island. She wandered around for several nights, trying to find a place to stay and stay out of sight of people who knew she was missing. Finally, she found Camp Half-Blood.
She found it strange, but entered. The camp staff and campers were bewildered when they found she was truly a mortal—how had she seen through the Mist and gotten through the borders? The answer was in her blood, it turned out. Her great-great-great grandmother was a daughter of Demeter.
The current Oracle was long dead, hideous to look at, and skipping words in prophecies, and Chiron decided a replacement was needed. Skye was first to volunteer.
Mortal Parent: Her parents are Reed and Fran Remmington.
Other Family: Sibling: Emma Kate, age 12.
And Finally...
I, Maria, have made this entirely up. I did not rip somebody else’s application from any site, and have followed the rules accordingly.
And…? Yes.
