General Appearance: Allie doesn’t like to venture out of the forest, but when she does, she is spotted immediately. It is partly because of her strange attire, but it is also because of her looks. Allie is as beautiful and radiant as a star, with full lips, almond-shaped doe-eyes, and a narrow face. She portrays a spectacle of innocence, though she does not appear younger than twenty. What Makes Them ThemPersonality Description:
Allie is a quiet girl, who never raises her voice or begins conversation. But once someone breaks the ice, she quickly becomes very bubbly and friendly, often laughing or smiling at people. She is thoughtful and enjoys casual conversation, once she gets over her shyness, at least. Like a typical nymph, she hangs in the background, watching the demigod population of Camp Half-Blood from afar and wishing she was one of them.
One of Allie’s only hobbies is dancing. She is slender and willowy from her constant practicing, and is immensely talented in both ball dancing, ballet, and contemporary. It was her only pasttime throughout all those lonely years in the forest. Her skills are incredibly developed and it would take a great deal of practice to outmatch Altair’s prowess.
This star-nymph is skittish and easily frightened, and will flee at any mention of danger. If spooked, she darts away and hides, and will not come out unless the situation is calmed or she is absolutely certain that there is no one there meaning to do her harm. Her brown eyes are constantly searching for threats, and usually find one.
But underneath this timid, flighty façade, is a very different young woman indeed.
Altair is secretly insane. She occasionally experiences ‘bouts’, which are a short periods of time in which her personality does a complete one-eighty. These do not happen often and rarely last over five to ten minutes, but it can scar a person horribly. Suddenly she is cold, calculating, and sadistic, and will ruthlessly murder anyone or anything that gets in her way. It takes Allie a great deal of effort to shove down her crazy side. Whenever the turn passes, she is left spent, both physically and emotionally. This is why she rarely exits the forest; so she won’t injure anyone.
She is deathly afraid of silly things, like fish and large birds, and is extremely clingy to any person who is even slightly kind to her. Her unconscious mind is plagued with horrifying images and scenes, which is why she dislikes sleeping so much and tries to survive without it. When she is not hiding in the forest, she enjoys hanging around in the Pegasi Stables, and occasionally the Big House.

As a nature spirit, Allie is tightly connected to her true form, which is the star Altair. She can return to that form at any time, and it appears as if her body is engulfed by light before disappearing. With her true from, there is her ‘half-body’, where she appears humanoid but is covered with smoldering white fire. This fire is inextinguishable and burns at an extremely high temperature. Allie can ignite these flames on any part of her body; however, it is strongest in her palms. With her hands she can fling the fireballs at will, and they return to her like a boomerang. It is a strange, chemical sort of inferno, identical to the fire that radiates from her star.Family and HistoryPersonal History: When the old nymph of the star Altair finally wasted away and died after near thousands of years, Allie fell from the sky. Literally. A shooting star flew across the sky one night, and the sound of a child crying was heard. There was a blinding light radiating from somewhere in the forest, where a small, white-haired girl of about three was discovered. Before, she was inside the star of Altair, surrounded by the warmth of her ‘Mother Star’ before she could take human form.
Little Allie was raised primarily by the other sky nymphs, who adored her to no end, and for good reason. She was adorable, with her big brown eyes and toothy grin, but also extremely intelligent for her apparent age and always sweet to her elders. With persistence and quiet determination, the young star learned the ways of the nymphs, and so lived blissfully alongside the demigods of Camp Half-Blood.
Until Allie’s sixty-eighth year. It was January, and snow covered Camp Half-Blood like a sparkling white blanket. When a group of drunken Maenads disturbed the quiet winter scene, kicking up a fuss and taunting the other nymphs. Allie, as her former self was wont to do, took up for them a bit too vehemently. She threw one of her knives desperately at one of the women just as they were about to set fire to a dryad’s tree. The knife dug deep into her temple, and the Maenad dropped dead.
With wails of anguish, the other women ran to their fallen companion, screaming curses at Allie and swearing that their comrade would be avenged. Three days later, a certain god of wine paid the star a visit. While Allie star-gazed alone in the forest, she was suddenly yanked to her feet and lifted in the air by her throat, forced to gaze into the bloodshot purple eyes of Dionysus. The vines of madness invaded her mind, tightening around her actions, digging into her consciousness. Altair was infected by her own foolishness in that moment, and changed forever. After a long few moments, he dropped her on the ground and she never saw him again.
The first time her insanity truly got in her way was a night about three weeks after the Maenad incident. She was casually conversing with a young male demigod, when suddenly she felt herself slipping. At first she thought she was dozing off, but before she could stop herself, she had ripped out one of the knives that hung on her belt and pressed her friend up against a tree. With the tip of her knife she doodled shapes in the bare skin of his neck, softly speaking in placating tones, and licked the blood that dripped off the blade.
By the time Allie managed to take control, she was shaking and sobbing uncontrollably on the ground, the demigod’s life bleeding out in her arms. She held him, chanting apologies until her voice crackled and died in her throat. What had she done? Was this the dear price she was now forced to pay for insolence? That night Allie swore that she would never, ever, hurt someone as she had that poor boy.
Altair was rarely seen again. Some people claimed they spotted a lady dressed in white lurking in the forest, and said it was a ghost of some slaughtered demigod. But the radiant, mischievous nymph of the Aquilae constellation was considered MIA. For a while, Allie reverted to her star form, hiding from her horrible deed and suffering alone. But still she watched her camp by night through the eyes of Altair, and sometimes, that girl in white truly did wander through the woods.
In these dire times she has decided to venture out of her safe prison, as her madness has seemed to die down a tad, though she continues to be a peculiar sort of woman. She lingers along the outskirts of Camp Half-Blood, wishing to be of some service but terrified of her own mind.
