Dressing Style: David always dresses very lazily, as if he doesn't care. His wardrobe consists of hooded long-sleeved shirts, hoodies, t-shirts, jeans and Nike sneakers. He often layers clothing and always wears something comfortable.
General Appearance: David has an aura of uneasiness. He is constantly fidgeting around, but looks very at ease with people he knows. When he actually looks in a mirror and attempts to make himself presentable, he can appear to be very handsome. But he couldn't care less about how he looked.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description:David is a man of simplicity. He acts a bit like a child, to be honest, and can often be mistaken for a son of Hermes. His childlike nature makes him a joker and slightly annoying. His ADHD makes him fidgety and uneasy. He often does unexpected things like having a sudden outburst and making a sarcastic comment. Some people find it humorous, but he finds it plain embarrassing.
David is protective and a sore loser. He is the master of sulking but is very determined. Losing is not in his nature, and he is actually quite a strategist. He has a few hidden talents up his sleeve that no one ever expects from someone like him. In fact, he is something of a deciever. He appears to be a bit skimpy and dorky, but is actually strong and light on his feet. He has a quick mind but doesn't exactly always think things through to the end.
Sometimes David can get a bit annoying. He has a bit of a childlike mind. Some people say that he's a ten-year-old in a nineteen-year-old's body. However, it's sort of a cover-up for his inner self. David actually has a serious side that he doesn't want to show. He thinks that resorting to a childlike nature will make people think lowly of him somehow. He just doesn't feel like he wants to be noticed. He often acts like things don't make sense to him and plays dumb a lot.
But sometimes he feels like he needs to prove himself and be just as good as everyone else. Being a child of the goddess of winning, he has a thirst to prove himself. He feels intimidated of everyone else. He created this poor image of himself and has very low self-esteem.
People see David as annoying and stupid. He created himself to be like this long ago, but wants to take it back more than anything. But he knows he can't just wake up one day and be himself and be like "Oh, yeah, guys, I forgot to tell you about my real self and how I've been hiding in this shell of immaturity at this camp for eight years!" Somehow he manages to wake up every single day and live with himself.
However, there are moments when David is himself. He's very protective of his loved ones. He will willingly jump into a battle and protect someone if they're getting hurt, no matter how large the enemy is. Sometimes he does irrational acts that he thinks are going to turn out with him as the hero, but sometimes people just end up getting hurt. Sometimes he can be a bit stupid, but David is just trying to be ... himself.

Family and History
Personal History:Eli Murphy was very content with his life. He was a very pure man. He didn't drink or smoke or do drugs or do anything to hurt his body, honestly. He was a good-looking man, too, with warm eyes, a charming smile and intentionally-done-messy-but-perfect sort of hair. He was a ladies man from the start. Eli Murphy was a player, indeed. But it all changed when she caught his eye.
Her name was Nicole Winns. She was beautiful. He saw her one day on the street when he was just walking along. He could have sworn it was love at first sight. He was about to make his way over to her when she was pulled into a New York City backstreet by some men. He stupidly dashed into the backstreet when he heard a shriek.
The woman that he had known he loved was standing over the unconscious bodies of seven men. Eli stood there, dumbfounded as to how she could have defeated seven men. But he didn't even care. She smiled at him, and he smiled back. They quickly introduced themselves. Nicole Winns and Eli Murphy agreed to meet at a restauraunt that night. Eli didn't even care that she could be dangerous.
His undying love for her made his mind fog up.
Eli and Nicole met up every Thursday night from then on. After five weeks of them dating, Nicole announced something that caught Eli completely off guard. She was actually pregnant. Eli, surprisingly, was more than happy. "Our child is going to be beautiful." he told her, and she just replied with a sad smile, knowing that she would have to leave with him.
The night that the child was born, Nicole fled. Eli never even knew the truth about her. She just left him a note, saying that she had to go and that she couldn't stay with him. Eli was heartbroken and miserable for weeks, but tried to take care of their child, David, so that he could live on. But it was hard for him.
Whenever Eli looked into the eyes of his son, his own eyes started to tear up. He saw Nicole in the eyes of his son. It was like being stabbed in the chest every single time he saw David. David was young and clueless. He couldn't even speak. He had no idea what was going on until the abuse started.
David loved life. He had friends at school. Despite his extreme troubles with academics, his father never payed attention to David's teacher's troublemaker comments at conferences, or David's pathetic grades. His father was still numb with grief. Eli fed his son but they didn't speak much. When David was ten things started getting rough.
David woke up one day and his father was different. He was all of the sudden interested in David in a way that David didn't like. Later that week, his father wasn't optimistic about David anymore. On Thursday, when David accidentally left his socks in the basement, he got struck across the face. Just like that, his father wanted his son to be absolutely perfect.
When David's grades came in for that semester, he was kicked the stomach and slapped across the face yet again. His father was extremely unsatisfied with his son's academic failures. David was confused and hurt.
To impress his father, David tried his hardest to be the best in school, but it never worked. He fidgeted around and his teachers were not happy with the way he gravitated trouble. He had one friend, Carter, who noticed David's constant cuts and scars.
Carter told David about the place where he belonged, Camp Half-Blood. How David was a demigod. Carter took David to the camp, where David tried his hardest to fit in with the other demigods. He got there when he was eleven years young.
David decided to make this a new start for himself. He decided to be funny and happy all the time and not try to be perfect like at home. He was claimed after two months by Nike. He continued to make himself a child forever, and his annoying nature stuck. He's now nineteen and still a resident at Camp Half-Blood.
Mortal Parent: Eli Murphy, alive.
