RP Sample:The beach was always a comforting place, provided he was at it any hour that wasn't the hour allotted to the campers. Then it was a seething pit of chaos. During that hour of the day Amadi took advantage of the emptiness of the arena to train uninterrupted. It wasn't that he was antisocial, despite what most people would seem to think. He was perfectly fine talking to people when he felt like talking to them...depending on who they were and what they were talking about. Sometimes he enjoyed talking to Eric, for all his blustering and naivity, even if Eric saw him as just a bully. Always he enjoyed talking to Chara about anything at all. Anya...well...Anya was a different story. He never knew how he felt about Anya, least of all when he was talking to her. But he definitely felt something.
But when he didn't want to talk to people- which concerning most people, was most of the time- there were two places in camp he preferred to go. One was, of course, the woods. Even in the day time most people found the woods an undesirable place to be. Monsters lurked around every looming bit of shrubbery, both the mythical and the human kind. They were right, after all, he spent most of his time there. And at night the woods were even quieter. Nothing but him, the trees, the stars, and whatever monster was foolish enough to try and disturb the son of Ares.
But though the woods were nice, they were nothing compared to the comforts of the ocean. The trees in these American woods were nothing like the trees back home, the animals in them nothing like the animals that were found roaming wild in Somalia. These trees, it seemed, had never known fire nor drought and wouldn't last a moment in the hot Somali sun. The beach though...no matter where in the world sand and water were the same. The consistency might be different, the salinity varied, but those were small things. It was still sand, it was still waves, and the air still smelled of the spray the closer he got.
He wasn't wearing much for this foray. He had on his sandals and his swimming trunks and over his chest he wore a lightweight grey jacket that looked much colder than it actually was to wear. The hour for beach time had long since passed, so he felt it safe enough to venture towards the waves.
Closing in on it now, the thirteen year old unzipped his jacket and took it off, revealing a well-toned torso covered in a criss crossing of scars and marks he'd earned over the years. That was another reason he didn't like going to the beach with everyone there. Though he couldn't hide the slash on his face or the smaller lines on his cheek, he didn't enjoy letting the world see the wounds that had left their mark on him. It was only as he was setting his jacket on a rock that he noticed the girl with her lighter. He frowned, no one else was supposed to be here.
She looked familiar, though he didn't think he'd spoken to her before. If he remembered correctly he'd seen her coming out of the Hades cabin...perhaps. One of the Big Three, anyways. For a brief moment he considered heading back, but decided against it. He wasn't going to be scared off like some frightened puppy.
"Hi." He said as he grew closer, "You know will be getting in trouble if found here."
There. He had done his social obligation for the day..

Most of the time she can be found in baggy jeans and a t-shirt just chilling out. On missions she tends to dress in darker clothes. Not necessarily black, that draws attention too often, but darker greys seem to work best.
General Appearance: At first if you saw her you'd think just another rowdy teenager. She has that wild look in her eye and that slightly crazed grin of one who's an adrenaline seeker. If you watch her for longer, though, you'll notice her swagger, the cocky way she holds her head high and you may even notice that when she walks her footsteps make barely any sound from years of practice.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description:
"I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am." They're more than a motto, they're words to live by. Babylon is awesome and is going to make damn sure you remember it. When she's just hanging out she's loud, brazen, cocky, and aggressive. She swaggers and boasts and mocks and generally finds herself in all kinds of trouble. She has a firm belief in her own invincibility and having lived this long has only strengthened this idea.
She runs her mouth at everyone and just lets it go on, regardless of the consequences. 'Tact' and her aren't close acquaintances, they're not even facebook friends. She's carefree and wild and would shoot you between the eyeballs without a second thought if Carlos asked her to. She doesn't deal in remorse, it wastes too much time and is pointless. She's done a lot, and she's messed up a lot, but all she can do is move forward, full tilt, and never look back.

Family and History
Personal History:
Orlando Delgado was a farm boy who developed a particular love during his college years- a love of spelunking. Any chance he got, he would go with his friends to caves and repel down them to explore inside. Sometimes, when his friends were busy, he'd go by himself to explore the dark depths. It was on one of these solo journeys that, to his surprise, he found that he wasn't alone. There was another spelunker in the cave with him who was covered in dirt and soot, with messy hair and pitch black eyes. She was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. They started with talking about caves and ended having awesome cave sex. Orlando was able to cross that off his bucket list.
Nine months later...you know the drill. Baby in a basket on the doorstep and Orlando wondering what the hell he was going to do now. He ended up giving up spelunking, it was too dangerous to do now that he had a baby to take care of, and went back to the farm. Which was fine with him, he'd had his fun and his mama raised him that once you have a kid the kid comes first. Besides, he liked farming. Eventually, when the kid, Gloria, was 2, he met a pretty lady name Orleana who had two sons of her own and they got hitched. Everything was by and large happy for a few years- Gloria was wild and rough and loved to roll in the mud with the bigs or wrestle with the dogs. She loved Orleana the same as if the woman had given birth to her and Orleana loved her too. She and her brothers would rustle and tustle and were pretty inseparable. But when she was six, she found that she could play with the shadows. Only a little at first, but it delighted her, and she began to practice. Going from growing and shrinking them to changing the shapes and as time went on she found she could begin to move them where she wanted to. This playful use of power attracted the attention of irrate Eidolons, who possessed her parents and tried to drown her.
Gloria escaped, never knowing that it wasn't really her parents, and ran away from the farm. For months she got by, hiding in shadows and stealing, fighting off other urchins for food. She made her way south and south, until she found herself in Brazil. It was here that the little girl decided she had had enough running around and being homeless, and that she was going to do something about it. The eight year old heard of a local crime lord who lived on top of a hill, and decided she would try her hand there. She strode up to the gate, bold as you please, and demanded an audience with the lord. She was laughed at by the guards, of course, who was this skinny little shit to try and demand Lorenzo Marquez' attention?
Luckily for her, though, Loreno's sixteen year old son Carlos was around, and intrigued by this intrepid little idiot with the audacity to not ask but demand an audience with her father, so he told the guards to let her in and gave her an audience with him instead. It was simple, really. She was damn good at sneaking in and out of places, she was a scrappy fighter, and if he needed someone dead she could do that, too, probably. In return he'd feed and shelter her and pay her. Carlos laughed- who wouldn't- and asked what made her so special, there were thousands of orphans he could get to do the same thing. That's when she called the shadows around her. He laughed again, but this time it was kinder. She was hired.
Carlos had dreams of expanding the crime empire, of kicking the mob out of his city and becoming a more elegant force to be reckoned with. He was young and full of dreams of supervillainy. And to fulfill this dream he needed a super ninja right hand man. The joys of being as young as he was and as rich as he was meant that he had the means to hire the best people to train Gloria, who by now was calling herself 'Babylon' because she was eight and thought that was the most awesome name ever. She was trained in Capoira and Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga. The years passed, but she didn't go to school, instead she learned how to fight, how to sneak, how to pick locks. How to be undetected in the middle of the day from other mercenaries in Lorenzo's payroll. She learned to shoot, she learned to kill, she learned foreign languages. She learned about computers, how to steal files and how to encrypt them. Her days were long and intense, molding her into the perfect lackey for Carlos. And she was fine with that. She owed everything to Carlos, he took her in, gave her a chance, was letting her make something of herself. Her days were spent training or on missions, small missions at first- simple theft from rivals, then upgraded to more intense ones. Sabotage, assassinations, high-profile type robberies.
After Lorenzo died, Carlos took over, and things began to change. Carlos wasn't content like his father was to simply maintain the empire, no, he wanted to expand. He sent out his seedy tendrils all over the world, making alliances, breaking alliances, all for the good of his empire. And Babylon was always by his side.
It wasn't until she was on a mission in America that she was attacked by a monster. A nasty beast, that cyclops, made even nastier by the fact that her bullets didn't seem to do a damn thing and...well...it was big. She did the smart thing and ran for her life. A satyr sensed her and caught up to her, handing her a celestial bronze sword. Figuring "well hey, the bro's a goat, this might as well freaking work" she turned and stabbed the cyclops through the heart. After that, what was she going to do? Not follow the crazy goat man with the magic sword? Fat chance. And thus she arrived at Camp Halfblood, sending off a quick letter to Carlos that he would never believe her when she got back.
