Age: Eighteen.
Camp Experience: Six years.
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual with a slight preference for men.

Looks
Hair: Tal's hair is just kind of flat. It's dark brown and wavy, though it can be straightened if she so desires. It doesn't cascade, it just hangs about three-quarters of the way down her back. She will often tie it up into a waterfall ponytail.
Eyes: Tal's eyes are a plain dark brown most of the time, although they will occasionally change with the light. Her lashes are long but thin, and she often accentuates her eyes with mascara and eyeshadow if she feels like it.
Height: 5'8"
Weight: ~121 lbs.
Picture: Click. (With Finn! :'D)
Playby: Lily Collins.
Dressing Style: Tal went through a stage where she didn't care what she wore, and then a stage where she would let her designer-wearing twin dress her up - now she is back to her first, where she will wear whatever she finds. She'll wear something that's unwashed so long as it isn't too bad.
General Appearance: How Tal appears to you honestly depends fully on her situation. If she's cheerful, she holds her head up high and has nice posture, showing off her whole five feet eight inches. However, if you find her sad or crying (more often than not), she appears shorter and slightly pathetic because she's bent down/hunched over.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description:
Talysus Winchell is a big bundle of contradictions, to put it bluntly. One minute she'll be doing an activity, perfectly content with everything, and the next you'll find her crying quietly in the bathroom. She's a very emotional sort of person, though she doesn't always have a reason to act the way she does; well, at least an active reason. The daughter of Hermes has been this way ever since her best friend and her boyfriend were found dead in the woods, and she's on the pathway to insanity. Tal is masochistic, though not in the least sadistic, and does not think very highly of herself. She's constantly scribbling down tangible versions of her obfuscated emotions on a piece of paper. Though she is depressed, Tal isn't the kind of girl or person who is an eccedentesiast. She doesn't pretend to be fine when she's not; yes, she may answer the question "How are you?" with that one dreaded syllable, but she doesn't pretend to be happy. You'll rarely see her smiling.

Family and History
Personal History:
Nicolette d'Auvergne was spending a year abroad at a French university, going back to her roots, when she met Hermes (known to her as Harrison Hennessy). Nicolette was working as a barista in a casual café and was about to leave her shift and get back to school when Harrison walked in. He didn't walk, he swaggered as though he were the best thing since sliced bread. He had a mysterious yet mischievous smile, thick eyebrows, and mischievous pointy ears reminiscent of an elf. Though he definitely was not Nicolette's type, there was something absolutely fascinating about him that simply captivated Nicolette.
Hermes had been delivering a message to a demigod who lived in Paris and was tired, yet managed to come off as completely exuberant. Patiently waiting at the back of the line, he studied the barista at the counter. Nicolette had dark brown hair the color of black coffee that hung to her waist in rich, shining curls. Her skin was light and all of the flaws on her face were covered up by expertly applied makeup. Her eyes were wide, luminous, and lined with lots of eyeliner. Hermes didn't know anything about her personality, of course, but being slightly shallow, he knew he wanted to know more about this woman.
When the people before him had placed their orders and it was his turn to do so, Hermes was simply tongue-tied at the beauty of the person standing before him. Nicolette, who had been eyeing Hermes as soon as he walked in the door of the café, smiled at him and batted her eyelashes. This girl was slightly insane and asked him out on the spot. Being the cocky man he was, Hermes was flattered and flustered and said yes. Of course he would like to have dinner sometime.
Fast-forward to a week later, in a dimly lit restaurant at a table for two. There were Nicolette and Hermes, laughing and having a wonderful time. The two clicked after all — when Nicolette wasn't in one of her moods, anyway — and were almost always seen together after that. After their first movie that they watched together — a retro-style silent film with a live orchestra, about a young couple — they went back to Nicolette's dorm room and did what never should be done so quickly.
Soon afterwards, Nicolette started throwing up in the mornings and noticed the absence of one very important thing she needed for reassurance. Thunderstruck, the college student got tested, and she was told that she was, in fact, pregnant. Unsure how to tell Harrison about the misfortune, she considered having an abortion but couldn't bring herself to do it. Finally, when she was two months in, she called her boyfriend and asked him to meet her in a nearby park. This was where she told him everything. She was pregnant with his baby.
Hermes bit his lip, considering. He had to tell Nicolette who her child was going to be. But he couldn't bring himself to do so. On the spot, he simply dumped her and before she could say anything, he fled back to Olympus. He didn't tell anybody what he had done. Unknowingly, he had impregnated a mortal woman with not one, but two demigod children.
Despite the fact that Nicolette was a bit loopy, she had truly been in love with Harrison and was sorry to see him go. The young woman delved into a state of depression. She cut her hair in a choppy style, dyed it jet-black and flatironed it within an inch of its life every morning. Her nose was pierced, her eyes were heavily made up, and she wore dark clothing. She was goth. Nobody at the college knew what to make of her, and she eventually dropped out when her pregnancy was too big to try and avoid. At that point, she knew she wanted an abortion, but it was illegal at that point in the pregnancy to get one. And then finally, on a June afternoon in 1994, she went into labor. The next day, bright and early, two twin girls were born. Nicolette named them Talysus and December, goth names, against her mother's wishes.
Being the young, lost person that Nicolette was, you could say that she wasn't mother material. She moved back to Florida with her two daughters and stayed with her mother for a long time, but when the twins were two years old, she knew that she couldn't do that forever. She rented her own place, about a half-hour's drive away from her parents' home, and settled in there. The place was small, nothing special, but Nicolette fixed it up and soon enough, it was sparkling clean. Everything was always in place. It was as clean as a hospital ward.
When her children were three years old, Nicolette took her mother's advice and got help to raise her children. Nicolette was rather busy with work and other affairs, and she couldn't give Talysus and December the care that the two of them needed. Eventually, she found the perfect nanny. Wendy Adkins, or Miss Wendy as she was known to Tal and December, was caring, loving and very attentive. She was also a legacy of Demeter, though Nicolette obviously didn't know about it. Miss Wendy recognized the godly activity in the girls immediately and knew she should get them to camp. She wound up waiting several years and caring for them with her heart and soul, including paying their private-school tuition. Sadly, in their first-grade year they were kicked out for reasons unknown. Miss Wendy took it with grace, as she had expected it. She considered the girls her children, while Nicolette considered them more like pets. This went on for several more years until finally, when Tal and Em were in sixth grade, Miss Wendy told Nicolette everything. Not being quite sane, Nicolette took it as true because it filled in all the loopholes. Wendy loaded the confused twins in her old car and drove them all the way from Florida to Long Island over a period of several days.
They quickly found a homey feeling in the Hermes cabin, and when they were claimed a week after their arrival and found they could stay there, both were pretty overjoyed — Em was a bit more cynical than Tal, but in the end, it worked out. Slowly, the twins drifted apart during their teenage years considering they were pretty different from each other.
For years, Tal was basically your average Hermes child — goofy, upbeat, and a prankster. But that all changed when several things happened in succession. She broke her ankle, developed a wild crush on an Ares boy named Luke and fell into a state of depression. That was around March or April in the year 2012, and it hasn't seemed as though she's emerged from the cloud of depression since.
