RP Sample:"Hellllo, lovelies!" The high-pitched shrill of a female voice was more than audible over the bustle of the platform. The owner of the squeal jumped up and down excitedly, her glossy curls flying everywhere in a mess of chestnut. One hand was waving wildly, threatening to pop a stranger in the mouth by accident, and the other held on tightly to a clutter of bag straps. Her scream achieved exactly what she had wanted it to; her brown eyes lit up happily as a gaggle of gossiping gals spun around the face the source of the noise. They returned the enthusiasm upon seeing their long-time friend, and the four ran to merge with the loud young woman.
"Ohmygosh, Maya! Where have you been?! Look, we need to hurry, we're gonna be late..." A tall redheaded girl ushered her pals onto the train, grinning as they demanded their brunette friend for the details of her summer.
Maya Anderson happily obliged, filling the girls she'd known since her first year in. She went on and on about the boring days spent lounging in her family's mansion, moaning and complaining about the one time her mother had asked her to get up and do something, and exaggerating at great lengths about the cute wizard --several years older than herself-- who had moved next door with his parents. The pureblood soaked up the attention with no problem; it wasn't often she got to be the center of attention.
Usually that position was filled by her best friend, the sort of "leader" of their little clique. "Oh... where's Teddy?" Maya asked, looking around expectantly at the four others. They shrugged, then continued down the narrow aisle of the train. Eventually they came to a stop, giggling and pointing towards a compartment with a couple of boys in it. Her pals filed in, but when everyone was seated, the compartment was full. Maya easily hid her disappointment, though she wasn't all that upset about it. She dismissed her friends saying they'd find another compartment with a wave of her hand, excusing herself.
"Don't worry about it. I'll go find Teddy Bear, and we'll get a different compartment." She assured them.
A few minutes later, Maya had her arms locked around a petite blonde in a back-breaking hug. She was squealing and screeching once again, a smile plastered on her face. "Teddyyyy, I missed you!" She trilled, finally releasing the girl.
Teddy Levine managed to grin back, though it felt as if a good few of her ribs were broken. She rubbed her stomach absentmindedly, muttering a greeting to her friend. "Yeah, missed you too. Please don't hug me again." She sighed. Maya nodded obediently, turning to relieve Teddy from some of her load. She grabbed a bag or two, leaving her to carry her own Quidditch trunk.
The two chatted as they walked down the hallway, glancing into compartment windows every now and then. They found one a few minutes later, with a single girl sitting in it. Her appearance was odd, to say the least. She wore American-styled clothes --Teddy was able to deduce the country of the flag on her shirt, being a half-blood educated partly by her Muggle father-- and she looked to be depressed, at the least. Even sitting it was obvious she rivaled even the blondes' short stature.
"Ah... Ted, maybe we shouldn't sit here..." Maya mumbled, but her plead was ignored. Teddy knocked in a short, quick sequence and slid the door to the side. She gave the girl a smile, then turned to heft her Quidditch trunk and other bags onto the rack overhead. When both she and Maya's belongings were put away, she studied the other student more closely, still wearing a pleasant expression.
"Hullo. My name's Teddy, Teddy Levine. This is Maya," She gestured towards her brunette friend. "It looks like we'll be sharing a compartment with you." Teddy's tone gave no room for an argument, and the two took their seats opposite of the unknown girl. It was silent for a few moments, and Maya's eyes were glued to her friend. Inaudibly pleading the blonde beauty to decide to find another compartment, rather than share one with whoever the girl may be. Teddy was oblivious to the looks, and she took to tapping her green-painted fingernails in a rapid staccato against her leg.
Another minute or two passed, and she leaned forward, her lips parting to say something. "We're both sixth years, Maya and I. Slytherins. You are?"

Dressing Style: Finley dresses pretty casually, but her style changes often. She never wears anything "fancy", and she's perfectly content with riding out the day in sweatpants and a hoodie. Jeans and a nice sweater or blouse are as dressed up as she'll get for an occasion.
General Appearance: Finley tries to put off the vibe that she doesn't care what conclusions people draw from her looks, but in actuality she's more than just a little self-conscious. She's not a knock-out, but she isn't a total hobo either. She doesn't appear to be that intimidating or fierce, but Finley can give the greatest "go to hell" glares you'll ever have the misfortune of receiving. C; blockquote]What Makes Them ThemPersonality Description: Finley is a little out there when it comes to personality. She is a strange girl. She's rather friendly and upbeat most of the time. She's fairly optimistic and bubbly, though that can change in a heartbeat. She, however, is independent and refuses to admit to her mistakes and errors. Finley takes pride in even the simplest of tasks, and manages to squeeze a compliment out of even the coldest of people, even if it means distorting something a person has said to better herself.
She loves attention, and thrives under it. If she's not getting it, she'll force someone to acknowledge her, whether it be bad or good attention. Finley is no ditz. She is rather confident in her intelligence. She's a good scholar, and is quite clever. She is helpful and loyal, and never seems very serious.
However-- her emotions will change on the flip of a dime. The behavior, similar to bipolarity, almost makes people not want to approach her. But once past that, she's a decent friend.
Likes:
+Compliments - being told she's useful every now and then is what keeps her from pulling out her search for --bad-- attention stop.
+Impressing people - if she can tell she's made a memorable impression, she's happy.
+Reading - she'll never admit it, as she isn't exactly the bookworm type. Her favorite books are the Harry Potter series.
+Chaos - you can find her in the center of it.
+80s/90s movies - The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, 10 Things I Hate About You.
+Dancing - she's not necessarily good at it.
+Fairy Tales - there's something about once upon a times...
+Chai - yum.
Dislikes:
+Being alone - she's self-destructive, in a sense.
+Modern music - she's an old school kind of girl.
+The color pink - bad experience with a Miss Piggy plushie.
+Routine - there's nothing more boring than repetitiveness.
+Coffee - she's a Chai kind of girl. And if that's not available? Tea.
Fears:
+Being alone - her family, friends, and everyone she cares about gone. Terrified she'll be left to her own mind.
+Heights - who doesn't?
+Disappointing someone she loves - she disappoints people she couldn't care less about and doesn't give a rip. If she disappoints someone important in her life, like her father? She'll never let herself live it down.
+The Muppets - told you. Bad experience with a certain pig puppet.
Secrets:
+Afraid of the dark - shh. Don't tell a soul.
+Afraid of clowns - seriously, don't tell.
+Very secretive about her bipolar diagnoses - although the personality disorder is more than obvious.
Ambitions:
+Find someone as free spirited as herself - she's tired of feeling like a loner.
+Do something memorable - like, something seriously memorable. Like becoming the president or something.
Powers: She can intentionally cause strife/disagreement between people.Family and HistoryPersonal History: Finley Rose Rizzo was born to the Greek goddess of discord, Eris, and a young French man. Edgar Rizzo had no idea the chaos causing woman he was so in love with was a goddess. Sure, in his own eyes, he saw her as one, but he would have never guessed she was a true entity of mythology. He was just a simple man, after all. He lived with his elderly, nearing senile father and helped him run a family-based general store, just outside of Paris. So when he learned her real identity, he was shocked. Almost as shocked as he was a short time after when Eris informed him he now had a daughter. It wasn't that Edgar didn't want a child. It was just that after learning that the woman he was in love with was a myth, he wasn't prepared for the next big shock. But it seemed that in addition to being the ruler of discord, Eris was also the goddess of surprises. She was quick to inform him that she had to leave. He had to take care of their daughter, and chances were that they'd never see each other again. So there it was. Just like that, he had experienced love, parenthood, and loss, all rolled into one.
Edgar had dreamed of being a father, only not under the circumstances. However-- he provided his new child with the best he could. He was loving, caring, cautious, and quick to meet her needs since the very start. His father, William, of course lent a hand. He supported his son, and Edgar --in turn-- supported his daughter. In the past, when he had only been wishing to settle down and to raise a family, he had had his whole family, life, career imagined. He would have a caring, beautiful wife. She'd adore him, and he'd fuss over her day and night. They'd live together in Paris, in a comfortable, nice home. She'd stay at home, cleaning and cooking, and he'd still work at the Rizzo family's general store. His father would live near by, somewhere close where they could visit often. And then, a year or two down the road, they'd have a child. A son. Someone Edgar could play catch with, and teach to fish, and how to ride his bike. His name? Finley. But his constant daydream hadn't turned out like that, exactly. So when he had a girl, he'd slapped the aforementioned name on her, paired with a more girly middle name. Despite that, Edgar wouldn't go back and swap his precious little girl for a son.
Needless to say, Finley grew up pretty well. She was surrounded by her father, grandfather and uncle for the majority of her childhood. They homeschooled her, as the only time Finley had tried to go to a public school she had gotten into an argument. She never really had any friends. Opposed to going out to meet people, she preferred to stay inside. Every now and then, she'd venture out to try to be social, but she was always met by hostility. Her only friend was a boy two years younger than her, whom also was greeted by the cold shoulder from others. Apart from that, she was a happy child. Her life was never once tragic.
At the age of ten, her grandfather passed away. Edgar wasn't able to hold down the general store anymore, so he passed it on to a family friend and traded Paris for NYC in America. There he got a job at a small company. The family of two learned English rather quickly, and were accustomed to the American life in a little over a year. A few years later, Finley found herself enjoying the company of a strange, handicapped boy. Wheelchair ridden yet upbeat and bright, Gordon Petrov was her new friend. They got along extremely well, and soon, Gordon was over at the Rizzo's apartment as if he lived there as well. A few days after Finley's twelfth birthday, Gordon confided in her father. He explained to Edgar what he really was --a saytr, there to retrieve Finley-- and the man was forced to make a decision. Send his daughter to a place called Camp Half-Blood, or keep her and risk an attack. He convinced himself that since her mother was a minor goddess, the chances of a monster sniffing her out were slim. He kept her home, but paranoia manifested in his brain.
Finally Edgar broke, and Gordon took Finley (aware that she was a demigod then, but not knowing who her mother was) to Camp Half-Blood. It turned out to be the best place she had ever been. She resided for two years inside the Hermes cabin, enjoying the new things she was introduced to. She was especially devoted to wreaking havoc with the Hermes kids, although she really wasn't much of a prankster. She just loved the chaos that resulted from their antics. On her sixteenth birthday, Finley was claimed. She wasn't sure just how she felt about her mother, having never met her, but from what she had heard from her father, they're quite similar.
