RP Sample:Avalon was bored. She'd been bored all morning - there was absolutely nothing for her to do around camp. Well, there was, but nothing that sounded appealing... So technically, there really was something for her to do but she was too bored to do it. To try to cure the terrible boredom, she had decided to go for a walk around the camp in search of somebody to talk to or something appealing to do. There had to be something she could do to entertain herself, or someone she could hang out with to keep her mind busy.
Ava crossed her arms over her stomach as she wandered away from the Fireworks Beach, disappointed that she hadn't found anybody there. She kicked at a rock with the tip of her shoe, letting a long breath out between her teeth. She was getting more and more frustrated - she hated boredom like most people did, but she also began to feel a bit useless when she had nothing to do or to occupy her time. She'd walked around the whole camp by now, but she'd had no luck in finding something to do. That was a little ridiculous, considering the huge number of campers and activities, but somehow she had managed to remain bored and lonely. So she continued her little pity party waltz, tossing the small rock between her feet as she came closer and closer to the Volleyball Court.
Ahead of her, a group of kids were in the middle of a series of games. There weren't many people, but they just kept starting new games each time one ended rather quickly. Ava watched on as the little leather ball sailed over the net, hitting against the outstretched palm of a waiting camper. It bounced off of the girls hand and jumped over the net to the other side, dropping down into the blow of another boy. The white ball flew away again, this time hitting the sandy ground with a solid thud. A chorus of boos and yays erupted from the respectful sides of the court, and someone yelled out to start a new game. Avalon stepped forward a bit. "Hey guys," She called out, "do you all mind if I join?"

Dressing Style:
Cora dresses pretty casually. She doesn't like to get all dolled up ever; she usually just throws on jeans and a t-shirt.
General Appearance:
There's no chance you'd see Cora on America's Next Top Model - she'd find that as a waste of time, but on spotting her on the streets is way more likely. She isn't really that impressive in appearance, but if she was to actually put a little effort in and make herself more presentable, she'd be a knockout. But Cora is happy with the way she looks without dressing herself up; she's perfectly content with the whole "bad chick" thing she has going on.
What Makes Them Them
Personality Description:
Cora is like any other reckless teen - she's rebellious and tireless, and loves to have fun. She's a natural born leader and likes to be in charge, and when she's not, she gets a little upset. She hates to be told what to do, but she won't throw a fit about it. Cora is slow to anger, unless you know what buttons to push. She is pretty tolerant of other people. Ask her who the best demigod in the camp is and she'll say herself - her ego is big and she's very proud, and while she may not be the best she is completely fearless and understanding. She can be really arrogant, though, and that tends to put off a lot of people. She's kind enough - she won't snap at a stranger or give someone she doesn't know the cold shoulder, but she also doesn't go bouncing up to people to ask if they wanna be friends. Cora is loyal to those she cares about, and her friends can trust her completely.
She's true to her word, and more stubborn than a mule. Once her mind is made up, it won't change. If she wants to accomplish something, she will. She stands up for herself and her loved ones, and she isn't afraid of a challenge. In fact, she loves to be pushed harder and harder. Cora is sarcastic and snarky to people she doesn't like - and that's a lot of people. Once she doesn't like you, there's no way of changing it. She's extremely close-minded and doesn't care; first impressions are everything to her, so it better be a good one. She can hold a grudge as long as any child of Hades can, and she loves to get revenge on jerks in creative ways. Cora is fiercely protective of her friends; she'll tear apart anyone who messes with them. She loves them to death and she'd do anything for them.

Powers: Aerokinesis: Simple control of the wind and air. With it, she can put her own body and one or two at most into flight. When it's just her she can stay in the air for an infinite amount of time, with another person maybe two hours tops, and with more than that ten minutes. It takes a lot of effort and energy but she's managed to nearly master it with years of practice. She can also control and manipulate lightning to a certain extent.
Family and History
Personal History: Alexandria Hollis had a short fling with a man. The German woman was fun-loving and wild, despite her strict upbringings. She fell pregnant and a short time later, the man she loved announced he would be leaving. By then, Alexandria was well aware he was a Greek myth, someone who shouldn't exist. While she didn't exactly believe the tales Zeus fed her, she didn't fully dismiss the idea of him being the god of time.
Cora was born just a short time after, and the young womans life was ruined. Her own mother shunned her, and Alexandria was forced to move from her home in Germany to a small apartment in America. There she worked at a cafe, and her daughter was left in the hands of a nanny almost 24/7.
She grew up as normally as her life would allow. Cora was described as a "difficult child", otherwise known as a "walking entity of sass". She didn't get very far in school, and spent most of her time in the counselors office, under close supervision at all times. On top of her behavior, her record was burdened with horrible grades. The teachers loathed her, the kids saw her as their only form of entertainment on a boring day, and her mother was thoroughly exhausted from driving up to the school every other day to have a chat with the principal.
Around the age of ten, Cora met a handicapped kid named Gordon. He was wheelchair ridden, but remained lively and upbeat. The two became close friends. A short time after, Gordon started trying to tell Alexandria about her daughter. It took two years for the older woman to fully understand that her daughter needed to leave. This didn't effect her greatly; she thought of Cora as a heavy burden, after all. She was glad to be rid of her. So Avalon left with Gordon to attend the camp. She started off on the floor of the Hermes cabin, but a year later she was claimed by Zeus.

And Finally...
I, MONROE, have made this entirely up. I did not rip somebody else's application from any site, and have followed the rules accordingly.
