`` specifics
personality description:
Veronica is a lot of things. But mainly a big ball of energy. For some unknown reason, the ADD of being a demigod hit her hard. Real hard. She also had dyslexia just as bad. But, she also has other problems. She has major OCD. To the point where she has to do certain things at least once a day or she feels that the next day would go horribly wrong. She has to double check the sharpness of her daggers and sword, make sure there are enough arrows in her quiver, make sure the fire by her bed will stay going through the night (because yes, she is also afraid of the dark). She even has to make sure windows and doors are locked and kind of freaks out if they aren’t and people won’t let her lock them.
Not only all of those, but she is a huge pyromaniac. Loves fire, the bigger and hotter the better. Has loved it since she was a newborn baby and she’d stare at the fireplace in her house willing it to lite when it wasn’t lit. She also loves invention. Making them, seeing how they work, the whole shebang. But apart from all her little kinks and spitball of a personality, you can find her a very sweet girl. Though, she doesn’t like talking about things like makeup, bring up the right topic and she can become a very passionate person.
She loves to talk. She loves to listen. She loves adventure. Just not in the dark, or near water. Those two things she could really live without as both can sort of hurt her. Physically or emotionally. She is sort of easy to make friends with; you just have to be able to accept her, flaws and all. And be able to deal with the occasional flicker of flame on a piece of clothing. She’s quick to pat it out though. As for anger, that’s another time you might find flames. But, these are more out of control and you have to get her calmed back down before they go out of their own accord.
powers:
[*]Prowess in Battle: Is pretty strong for her small size, thanks to working in the forge for the past three years.
[*]Major Pyrokinesis: Can control fire and heat. Not so much lava, is working towards that though. Because of this, she also has fire immunity and can’t be harmed by the fire.
[*]Technokinesis: Great mechanical ability.
[*]Enhanced forging: can build almost any machine out of any material, sometimes even animate it and make it do things as well. If she’s thinking too hard or nervous, sometimes her hands will fiddle with parts and gears without her knowledge.
`` history & family
personal history:
Rosa Stilinski was a beautiful girl. Even if she had one too many tattoos flowing down her arms. She was the rebel daughter. The only daughter out of her perfect little family that got tattoos, piercings, dyed her hair colors from red to black. Not only that, but she was the only family member ever to turn 18 and completely cut ties with her family. It wasn’t necessarily her fault, nor was it her families. She sure loved them. But you could only stand the controlling tenacity of her over-bearing mom and control freak of a dad.
They wouldn’t let her go out and have fun. They allowed her first tattoo. But once she got her 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and then started on the piercings while still continuing to get tattoos? They didn’t know where they went wrong. She’d ditch school. She’d graffiti her room walls. She bought a motorcycle instead of a car. In a way, her leaving was a grace to the parents. They wouldn’t have to make excuses about her anymore to their high-class friends. Back to Rosa. She left at 18 on her motorcycle. She’d stop at bike bars and flirt with the handsome men that would walk in.
This is where Hephaestus walked in. It was at the Salty Dog Saloon. She was waitressing there on a Friday night for a room for the night and a meal the next day before she drove off again. As she approached his table, there was something about the man that called her to him like a siren singing its song. And why not? The effects of this night would’ve left her family reeling. To make this story a little shorter, after some vague flirting, he offered to buy her a meal after her shift. She accepted. After all, the last meal she had was lunch an it was now nearing midnight, which was the cut off of her shift.
After the meal and a few drinks, they ended up in her room. Things happened that night that’d she’d never done before and in the morning, not knowing how to handle it, the red haired girl that reminded Hephaestus of the fires in his forge left. She spilt as soon as the sun rose. Hephaestus and Rosa wouldn’t know what happened to her until a few months longer and since Rosa couldn’t keep in contact with him, he didn’t know until little Veronica was born.
The day she was born, Rosa had conflicting emotions. Of course she’d love the little girl, but she didn’t have money. Well not the kind to raise a child. Concerned for the little girls well-being, she was going to send her to an orphanage. But in her hotel room in the morning was a note with an apartment complex number, the letter H, and a stack of money enough to support her and the baby for a year at least. The back of the note said paid in full. Confused as all hell, but curious, Rosa went to the hotel, which actually turned out pretty fancy and made her life there. She got a job as a waitress and was able to send Veronica to school. But Veronica was much like her mother. A spitfire with problems.
It wasn’t long until Rosa had to pull her out and homeschool her as she had too many problems at school. That’s how the days would pass. Ronnie would get homeschooled during the day and go with her mom to work and sit in the break room where she would reassemble her toys and make them better. The first time Rosa discovered V doing this, it sort of freaked her out. But after a bit she just accepted the fact her daughter was intelligent. It was around the age of 10 that accidents started happening. Things would catch fire if V got too mad.
First it was her mothers’ clothes and her mom would pat it out. Then it was the couch, the floor, and anything else really. One night, when Rosa thought Veronica was fast asleep, she sat crying in the living room wondering what the hell was going on with her child. With a small hiss a great ball of flame expanded in front of her. Rosa would’ve screamed if the man that stepped out of the flame hadn’t covered her mouth with his hand. She took a moment to look at the man and realized who he was. He explained everything to her. About himself, Veronica, and Rosa’s role in it all. He said sorry multiple times, and Rosa was almost too quick to forgive him. But then again, he provided her a place to live and set her life going the right way.
And then he left the same way he arrived. But of course, Ronnie hadn’t been sleeping and in fact walked in the living room. Her mom looked at her and realized that she had overheard. But, it saved her from explaining it to the young girl. A few more years passed, and the monster attacks started. It was on her 13th year that her mom finally had enough. The hellhound pouncing them through their open window was the last straw and she knew she couldn’t hide and protect her daughter forever.
So, Veronica and Rosa drove to Camp Half Blood. Ronnie was too come back every break, and even for some of the summer. It’d help her mom out, because then she could work more often. Ronnie fit in quick to the Hephaestus cabin. They understood her need to fix things and mess with fire more than anything. They even accepted her quirks and faults. She loved this cabin with her heart. But she hadn’t been claimed yet. It wasn’t until a great fire broke out in the Hermes cabin thanks to a prank that she was.
You see she was able to control it and put it out after calming herself down enough. It was then that her fathers symbol shone bright and proud over her head. She was claimed and in a place where she fit in. The young girl couldn’t be any happier. She is now 16 and continues on it the forge. She even made her own weapons and little secrets to them that she likes exposing to others if they are willing to listen. You can fine her there as well and she’ll probably help you out.
mortal parent: Rosa Anne Stilinkski
other family: Any kids in the Hephaestus cabin of course. Doesn’t really know the biological half of her family.
