QUEST!!!! Every camper wants them, and this is how you can get them. Going on a quest can be a great honor if you succeed, but if you fail, you will be looked down on by the other campers for ever! It is up to the person organizing the quest to make sure that s/he and those going with he/r meet the requirements for going out. Said requirements are now being listed- points below-
It is up to you to write it, how it is give to you, and how it is fulfilled. There can not be a line that is left open to be completed. Any and all things that the prophecy needs to be completed on quest. The prophecy itself needs to be at least four sentences long, and needs to include:
1-campers involved in quest
2- what the quest is for(saving some one, retrieving item, errand for a god)
3- A danger you will encounter
4- something that you will need
More is always better. Apollo(god of prophecy) likes them dark and mysterious, so unless you got a quest from Ares, try to make an interesting prophecy.
You can look at the Percy Jackson wiki for ideas on what a prophecy might sound like.
Almost everything is in America, that means that most quest will be happening the Red, White and Blue. There are some things that are out of country, and if you dig up an odd bit of mythos, then ask and we will give you permission to add it to the map. This will be one of the largest parts of the quest, and will take up time. Most quest in the books seem to be 5-14 days long. So keep that in mind when planning as well. You will not likely get much time for sight seeing, so try to keep side stories minimum.
First, write out the prophecy and figure out how it's given to your character. Also be sure to have an idea of how the prophecy will be fulfilled. Once you have done this, you will need to find other campers to accompany you. (Or, if you'd rather go on one by yourself, you're more than welcome to.) Remember that quests with over three people usually don't fare very well. Then, you must PM two admins the following form...
Once you have received permission from both admins, you can begin your quest. Remember, while you thread out the quest, you cannot be in any other threads at Camp.
Note: If you want to have your characters go on a quest, there is no need to ask for permission in this thread. Just follow the directions above.
