Because we've noticed that there's been a death of male charries, the staff has decided to write up a giant (or not-so-giant) plea post on why you should RP a male. Items on this list are in no particular order and may or may not apply to everyone...
Disclaimer: Yes, we realize there are only eight reasons. However, "ten reasons" sounds much better and more "complete" than "eight reasons". :P

- Searching for male PBs is fun... Most of them are very good looking and have a lot of very nice pics. Having a male charrie gives you the perfect excuse to stare at shirtless pics of male models.
- You get a completely different point of view. If you're female, it can be very fun to imagine things from a male point of view.
- You get practice writing different types of charries. I know that many RPers on this site also write short stories, novels, novellas, etc. Your works of fiction most likely have male characters, as well as female characters, and roleplaying male charries will allow you to portray your male characters in your fictional works more accurately.
- I (Aries) have found that it helps both my writing styles. The first male character I made helped my writing style, even with the female point of view. A lot of people here have tomboyish, or flirty girls. If you play a boy, it will help stengthen your tomboyish girl's nature. Even with the flirty girls, they usually are supposed to understand the male gender, so playing a boy helps you do that.
- It's really not that hard. When it comes down to it, guys aren't that much different from girls. (Yes, this statement contradicts the one above, but just trust me on this.) Both are human.
- If you're still worried about portraying a guy incorrectly, there are countless guides that can be found across the internet. Feel free to PM me (Ana) for links.
- If you would like to play a boy, but don't know what to make him like, there are always character adoptions you can look at. (hinthintlikeMax'sboyfriendhinthint) — Aries :P
- And if you're still convinced that you'll never be able to play a masculine guy, make an effeminate one. xP
