Olivia walked outside of her cabin, feeling sort of ... refreshed. Even if the air was sickly and awful-feeling and the sky was a clear shade of murky gray. A huge, dark cloud hung in the sky drearily, as if it had nowhere to go. She didn't know why, but she felt ... happy. Optimistic. Then she became a bit sad as she saw the sad campers floating around purposelessly.
She walked down the stairs from the porch and into the little commons. She was on her way to the arena when a cold hand grabbed her wrist. Olivia swung around, almost totally losing her balance, and turned to face someone. Standing there was a small girl with bouncing blonde hair and pale green eyes. She looked about nineteen, even if she was shorter than Liv herself. Olivia immediately recognized her as Mackenzie Tanning, daughter of Aphrodite.
"What is your problem?" she asked Mackenzie. "Look, Liv," Mackenzie said. Her voice was high and gathered "Now that you've got a boyfriend - especially one like Chase Taylor - you've got improve your style a bit." Her style? Honestly, Olivia knew that she wasn't exactly the biggest fashionista ever, but there was nothing wrong with her style. "I-Is there something wrong with me?" Liv asked her, stuttering self-consciously at first but gathering herself to have almost an attitude at the end of her remark. "Just ... you need better clothes." said Mackenzie, shrugging.
Olivia followed Mackenzie into the Aphrodite cabin. She saw Mackenzie surf through her trunk, looking for some clothes that could suit Liv. Man, did she have a whole buttload of clothes. And they all looked designer and rather expensive. The cabin smelled like perfume and nail polish to such an extent that it was almost sickening.
Mackenzie Tanning gave her a white tube top with a ruffle at the top and salmon and light blue flowers on it. Then she threw some washed-out jean shorts at Liv. "Go put those on." she told Olivia. So, the daughter of Zeus went into the bathroom and put on the clothes. She couldn't even imagine how bad she would look in the end.
When Liv came out of the bathroom, Mackenzie didn't waste a second. She already had some makeup for Liv layed out. A light color eyeshadow, some dark eyeliner, and some nice peach-colored lip gloss. Thank gosh that she didn't go overboard on the makeup.
Mackenzie put the makeup on Liv like she was Mackenzie's own personal makeup doll or something. It was a little strange. She gave Liv some layered bracelets and a necklace with hearts that formed a flower. She also gave Liv some light pink-ish-tan wedges with laces. When Liv stood up in the mirror, it was like she was a whole different person.
Actually, Liv almost gasped when she looked at herself. She look amazing. She looked like this happy, confident girl who could really pull off a sexy model look. All she could say was, "Wow." and she could barely choke that out. "I look amazing!" she gasped after composing herself. She looked outstanding. Her makeup was perfect on her face. Mackenzie must have put some volume into her hair or something, because instead of hanging there it looked like it actually had purpose. "Thank you so much, Mack." Olivia said breathlessly to the shorter blonde, who was smiling like she had just finished a priceless work of art. And in some ways she had.
