Max's day started when everything went black.
Lemme explain: she was sulking over the annoying Aphrodite that had just showed up. Walking and walking and walking, lost in thought. Looking back on it, she probably could have heard the person firing the sleeper-dart (don't ask me how they got that) into her shoulder. But Max didn't, so she let the dart come. --- not that she knew it was coming, of course. So, anyway, everything had gone black. The last thing she knew she was instinctivley thrashing around, her limbs moving without needing to be tolf by her brain.
So there she was, disorented from the sleeper-dart, in the Minor Gods' cabin, tied to a chair. Her vision was blurred and she wanted to sleep. Looking at the clock, she noticed it had only been an hour. With that amount of sleep meds, any normal person would still be out. But Max was a tough son of a gun, so she was okay.
Maxine looked up, spotting two fammiliar faces. Ones that she despised. ''Question: why am I tied to a chair--'' Max pulled against the restraints. Nothing happened. It was a loop around each armrest attached to a loop around her wrist, enough for her to get circulation, but not enough for her to pull her hands through. It was the best knot-tying she'd seen in a while. ''--And who tied these?''
Max had to admit, it was impressive. The fact that they had gotten her at just the right moment to knock them out, and the fact that they had been able to move her and tied her in an hour was all pretty outstanding. These people would do anything for a prank. But what where they going to do to her? Wait a minute...
Was James Darkwood holding a... curling iron? Oh no. Oh. No. This was bad. Really bad. Because they where either going to A) Give her a makeover, or B) Burn her with a curling iron. Quite honestly, she would rather be burnt. But somehow, she didn't think that being burnt was a likely posstibility.
''What the Hades are you doing? You do know that I will make your like a living hell for this, right?'' Max's threat was serious. She meant every word. She could, and would make them pay for this. They where gonna go way past injury. Way, way past injury.
