Lana loved the night time. She loved the cold night air. She loved sitting in the trees gazing at the stars. Running over the cabin tops and jumping from one to the other. Thanks to her reflexes that much was possible. She smiled as she carefully stepped out of the cabin. It had looked like everyone else was asleep. Which led to a fun night by herself. She stretched her arms and legs, and with a sigh stretched back with her hands over her head. Her claws came out with the little stretch. When she looked down at her shoeless feet and curled her toes, those claws also came out.
She looked at them with a satisfied smirk and nod before jumping off the Minor cabin porch. Her claws latched into the earth, and pushed her faster and forward with the greatest of ease. She couldn't see her eyes, but thanks to the quarter moon that was out, she had no doubt that they were slit-like. She could see all the shapes and slight shadowed areas, which only lead to her correct assumptions. She headed first towards the lake, and when she arrived she looked in the water. With another smirk she took off. Her eyes were slits, and they had changed to their lighter yellow color.
She skirted the lake, not wanting to get too close to the water. But this run felt great. The lake soon turned into the forest. When she got about halfway between the lake and beach, she reached up and snagged a low hanging branch. Using her forward momentum, she swung herself up, as her claws dug into the limb. When she came to a rest on top of the limb, she stood. Glad for her small weight and height. Well, she wished she was a couple inches taller, but that couldn't be helped. She launched herself off that branch to grab one higher up. Pulling herself up and to further trees she smiled.
The wind blew her hair back once she reached the edge and the top of the trees. She was glad she wasn't scared of heights. She grabbed the branch she was squatting on with the claws on her feet and one hand. The other hand came up to push her bangs back. The rest of her hair was in a tight pony tail. She surveyed her clothes, glad that her skinny jeans and shirt hadn't been torn. Her hands tipped her forward and she hung on to the branch for a moment before dropped to a lower one. Once a better distance to the ground, she dropped out of the tree, tucking and rolling as she hit the ground. She pounced up and was once again on the run.
She was pushing herself to more extremes tonight. She hasn't ran this hard this fast in a long time. Hitting the sandy beach, she slowed down to a jog and breathed in the air of the salty water. She closed her eyes for a minute before turning towards the cabins. Coming to the Demeter cabin, she climbed up the vines and soon stood on top of the cabin. With a running leap, she leapt the short distance to the next cabin. She went cabin to cabin not making a sound. She had found that when she landed, she would land softly on the balls of her feet. It had taken her awhile to get used to that, but once she started doing that, it was like second nature.
When she got to her cabin, she walked over to the part that sat over the porch. Crossing her legs and retracting her claws on both hands and feet, she leaned back to look up at the stars. She was taking deep breaths as she tried to calm her rapidly beating heart. But once again no sweat. She just felt that her muscles would be sore tomorrow. She closed her eyes with a sigh as she just listened to the night. When she heard a door open and close softly her eyes jolted up. She tensed herself, her night vision taking in the cabins and seeing no one standing outside them which meant that whoever it was had come from her cabin.
Curious as to who the nighttime walker was, she grabbed the edge of the cabin wall and tilted forward until she was leaning over the edge. Instead of there being darkness, all of a sudden there was a sudden bright light. The instant light like a instant headache. She reeled back, her eyes dilating as they tried to figure out if there was or wasn't light. She hopped off the roof covering her eyes, since she could see the light coming through them. Her claws were still retracted, having no need for them right now, as she waved to whoever it was that was shingling the light at her. "Hey! Shine it away from me ya moron!" Her voice sounded with the slight pain she felt.
When the light was off of her, she took her hand away from her eyes. They found the difference, and looked like slightly wider slits. It wasn't light enough for her human eyes, and it wasn't dark enough for the narrow slits that usually helped her see at night. Especially on dark nights like this. As her eyes flicked to the person she noticed that it was David. Son of Nike. She hadn't ever talked to him before, but from others, found out he was nice. And as she surveyed him once, he was cute as well. A small grin set on her face as she walked up to the porch and sat/leaned against the railing facing him.
"Sorry about the name calling. You light hurt my eyes bad for a moment." She rubbed her temples for a moment trying to get the headache to subside.
