That day Lucy had woken up quite early. Just by looking outside, one could easily tell that the sun had not long risen. It had taken a lot for Lucy to actually pull herself out of bed. Just for today, Lucy had slipped into a pair of jeans, a top and some sneakers before quietly getting out of the cabin. At first, Lucy skipped off to the strawberry fields in hope for some peace and quiet before the day officially started. It was nice there. Nice being alone and allowed to go over her thoughts, and those terrible memories that she had always mulled over in the mornings. Those terrible memories of the years before she'd lost all of that weight. The memories of when she was a fat girl, mocked and ridiculed by people who had pretended to be her friends. They were painful memories, yes... but thinking about them only acted as motivation for her weight loss. Lucy was still quite fatalthough underweightand she needed to lose just a bit more before being ideal. Thinking about this memories every morning tended to put her off breakfast. Which certainly helped in her losing weight.
Just that one day, though, things went a little differently. During her time in the strawberry fields, she was met by a girl about her age. The girl was beautiful and had such a wonderful figure. So much so that Lucy felt a little envious for it. The girl before her also had these wonderful golden ringlets that softly bounced in front of her face, if not held back by some weak hair tie. Her eyes were a sort of gray-green. She introduced herself as a daughter of Athena, and soon the two started talking. After an hour had passed, Lucy knew she liked the girl. And the girl soon expressed her desire for the two to be friends and meet up. When? Perhaps later on that day, even. In the Athena cabin. Lucy, of course, agreed to this. She was always going to welcome new friends. Especially one as nice as this girl. This was going to be fun. Lucy just knew it. And then the girl left, leaving Lucy alone in the fields. Taking a few minutes, Lucy just thought over it all. Then she lay back and stared up at the cloudy sky. Doing what she always did every morning on a dry day. Cloud watching and picking out the ones that looked like specific shapes.
Later that day, Lucy had found herself standing outside of the Athena cabin. It felt weird doing this. Actually meeting up with a friend. A girl friend. Usually those she would meet up with were boys, who she might end up feeling close enough to so as to sleep with them. She didn't know why she'd do it, perhaps just because she felt like she trusted them enough. Slowly, Lucy tapped on the door and waited for an answer. Was this girl actually going to be there? Or was it going to be a slightly altered repeat of the painful memories from her past? In which, Lucy would walk in and once again be mocked and ridiculed for her outrageous excess of weight. Oh, gods did she hope that was not the case. Just the thought of it scared her a little.
After having waited a few minutes for a reply, and still nothing, Lucy pushed the door open slightly. "Hello?" She asked, hoping that the voice she would hear in response would be that of the girl she had befriended earlier.
