Chase was still miserable. More miserable than he had been only this morning when he went to the Zeus cabin to go speak to Olivia. He was still wearing the same thing as then. He wasn't coming out of his cabin. And now, it seemed like his cabin was on his side. He had been able to explain exactly what happened. And then him coming back with his hair standing on end from Jensen had only made them support him more. At least he had tried to talk to her.
He was lying on his bed looking up at the ceiling. He could hear the murmured whispers floating around the room. The Athena kids were talking. It sounded like they were trying to get some sort of plan to get Chase's mind off of Olivia. Like that would happen. She was still floating through his mind. He closed his eyes and shook his head. "Just stop guys. Please? You aren't helping."
He didn't know if he wanted to see her again. But he did. He always would. He wouldn't want to see her. Even if it would only be from far away. He sighed and opened his eyes staring up at the ceiling once again. He ran a hand through his hair. That was all he could do right now. Someone else was in the shower so he couldn't get in. But they stepped out right then.
He sighed again as he got up. His feet hit the floor and carried him to the bathroom. He was just gonna change into a pair of shorts and a shirt. Nothing special. He didn't feel special today. Once he was stripped of his clothes and in the shower he first let his head drop back so the water hit him in the face. But then his head dropped and he could feel what was left of Jensen's little shock leave his hair.
When his hair was flat against his head and he was done in the shower, he started to dry off. But a knock at the cabin door stopped him. The bathroom door was shut but he could still hear two voices. First was little Timothy. The little Athena kid with big gray eyes and deep drown hair. He was an adorable little boy, who no matter what Chase did, followed behind Chase.
It made the older boy feel so rotten sometimes. He didn't think he always deserved the attention the little 12 year old boy gave him. He heard him speak. "I'll get it!" Chase frowned. Who would knock on the door? People could basically just walk in their cabin. He pulled on a pair of shorts and started to open the door. His shirt just in his hand wondering who was there. A voice. A feminine voice shot through the cabin. People stopped and turned first to look to where Timothy had barely held the door open, then to Chase, and then back to the door. Their jaws dropped.
"I don't think you should be here right now." Timothy said to Olivia. Chase stood in the middle of the cabin. Shirt in his hand forgotten as he stared at Timothy's back. He swallowed once. What was going to happen? He hadn't seen her yet. She couldn't have seen him yet either. Timothy barely held the door open enough for him to stick his little head out. Chase's hair lay flat against his head, and remembering that it was dripping; he grabbed a towel and swished it on his head really fast. Now his hair stood up in all different directions.
Olivia spoke. Timothy spoke. "Really. Though. Chase. He isn't feeling good." Despite how miserable he felt, Chase managed a weak smile. The kid was starting to lie for him now. Didn't that feel great on his conscience? He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. This made it not stand up in every direction. He groaned and closed his eyes before opening them and speaking to Timothy. He didn't know what was going to happen, but he figured he might as well get it over with. "It's okay Timothy. Open the door." Timothy looked back at him. "You sure?" Chase nodded and Timothy stepped back allowing the door to swing open and Chase see Olivia and vice versa.
