Sometime's I think too much is expected from me.
First off, I turn nineteen next Tuesday on the third. I am the only eighteen year old with a full time job, (night shift, no less) who coaches soccer, and referees soccer on weekends.
Most of my paycheck goes to important stuff like my food, my driving lessons, helping my parents out with bills, and saving up to go to school next year because we had some financial issues keeping me from going this year.
Well, I haven't seen my boyfriend in two weeks, or any of my friends since last summer except for a rare occasion that one is in town. I'm stuck at home all day, and I sleep about 8-9 hours after getting off work at 6AM, which is normal time, right?
Now I'm getting grounded for not waking up before noon and helping scrub the house, so now I'm not allowed to see my boyfriend after we had made plans to see each other Tuesday on my only night off this week.
Why can't I be treated like a normal nineteen year old? Why can't I go to college, spend time with my boyfriend and go out with my friends instead? I'm expected to act like a full-fledged adult, but I'm still supposed to be a child-like college student. Not that I expect it to be all fun and games, of course, but shouldn't I be able to be a little less responsible?
I'm sorry for complaining so much to you guys. I know most of you don't know the feeling yet because the majority of people on this site are younger than me, and those that are older... well I don't know much about Zach, but Meave is already married. She gets to spend so much time with her significant other she's probably tired of him... just kidding, but still.
